Congratulations on your BFP! The waiting period until your scan can indeed feel like an eternity. Take it one day at a time during this anxious period. Wishing you all the best on this journey ahead. x
HI. It could be down to a bit of infection. Keep up with any prescribed medication and folic acid. Drink plenty of water so lots of clear wee and avoid constipation. Thinking of you. Diane
Thank you. Hard not to think the worst. Been managing to stay positive all the way through and take it day by day but because it’s worked I all of a sudden feel a great weight on it all.
This bit is the hardest for sure - definitely because now there is something tangible to lose. Unfortunately you just have to take it day by day. Symptoms can be a good sign but lots of people don't have them too. Try not to compare and plan lots of stuff to keep you distracted
I also have this and am staying super positive. I drink loads but I do struggle with constipation since EC, so I have to take something prescribed by the docs to help with that. I think my cramping is worse when my constipation is worse. I think mild cramping is a good thing tho x
Thank you. Yes I have had bad constipation post egg retrieval, I’ve been taking peppermint tea and upping my fibre. Eased a bit but certainly not my normal.
Mild cramping is the part that nobody seems to mention! I expected the abdominal cramps but the period type cramps really panicked me. I’ve had it on and off from the start and I’m now 14+6 and 5 scans down! Try not to worry - easier said than done I know. Good luck with your pregnancy 😊
As for the cramping, it is possibly the progesterone. I had period cramping my entire first trimester I am sorry to say and sadly the anxiety doesn’t get any better.
I would just say do whatever you can to distract yourself and if you need to take tests etc I’m the meantime to curb your anxiety, do it.
congratulations 😊 I am in my TWW and on day 10 post embryo transfer and having period type pains so now really worried it’s not worked but I have read a lot of people who have said similar thing to you so that’s reassured me. I hope your scan went okay and you’re doing well 🩷
