Progesterone withdrawal

I got a BFN yesterday after a medicated FET so have now stopped all medication. I’m feeling a bit weird, headachy etc. has anyone else experienced withdrawals after suddenly stopping progesterone and oestrogen? I was on two Lubion shots, two crinone gels and five progynova tablets a day.

I felt dreadful stopping progesterone after a fresh cycle BFN. Mine was more mentally awful (much more than one would expect just due to the BFN itself). Just be extra kind to yourself and remember it will get better, and probably quickly - you'll probably feel loads better after a week or less. xx

Hey lovely, yessss my head has been heavy! And I’ve had period pains since with spotting but no full flow yet. I really want it to just hurry up so I can get it out the way and try and get some hormonal balance back!

Hope you’re okay & keeping strong xx

Absolutely yes. I always find I feel a bit rough for a couple of days whenever I switch drugs but coming off them with a BFN is the worst. I feel hungover, can't sleep, then my bleed starts and the drugs drop off and I feel mentally and physically horrendous. As Purpledoggy says, not just sadness after a BFN, much more than that. I wish someone had warned me first time round... just give yourself a break for the next week or so until you feel better x

Hey – sorry I didn't see this I took a break from coming on here while I was waiting to get started again. Ended up having quite a long break as the clinic was shut for christmas and then my period took ages to come. How are you doing? Are you back on another cycle now?

Heyy! Omg very similar to you! I took a ban over Christmas then AF has been playing up too! Had a period from 6th dec-30th Dec, then passed quite a large clot (sorry TMI) clinic said they didn't know for sure but could have been an early miscarriage. Expecting my cycle to start any day now but no idea when tbh. Are you prepping again now? xx

Yes I had my baseline scan on Sunday and I'm moving ahead with the cycle, day 4 of Progynova tablets, feeling exhausted!
