Hi everyone, I had a fresh transfer back in September which was a negative result. I'm currently awaiting my period (which is ofc late when I want it to start 🙄😆) but will call the clinic for a baseline scan when it starts. Can I ask people's experiences from the baseline onwards please. How many days after did you have a second scan? Is there a rough idea when to expect transfer (I know this would depend on the lining)
Thank you 😊

Hi I hope you’re well , I’m currently waiting for my first FET after a fresh transfer, this is how my process has been so far :
Scan 3 days before expected period date (9th Oct) , start oestrogen on second day of period (16th oct), scan to check lining 10 days after (26th Oct), started progesterone 5 days prior to transfer ( 28th Oct) , FET booked for 2nd November. The clinic said transfer could have been on the 31st but they were fully booked so they just started the progesterone a bit later. Of course each clinic is different but it should give you a rough idea of timings. For example this clinic only does FET Tuesday and Thursday 😂
Hi, my period is due on Friday/Saturday this week and I've been pencilled in for frozen transfer during week of 20th November. Each FET I have had a single scan on day 11/12 of my cycle and transferred around day 18/19. I was also on estrogen from day 1 and started progesterone pessaries 5 full days before transfer, and progesterone injections from day of transfer. Hope that helps x
My two FETs were medicated but went off the first day of natural period (no pill or down regulation, which sounds same for you). Called in on day 1, had first scan on day 2-4 to check everything was 'quiet' (no cysts, growing follicles and lining is thin) then start oestrogen for 10 days (this can make you feel pretty unwell btw, just to warn you if you work etc), another scan at that point to check lining is thick enough and if it is start progesterone for 5 days, then do transfer. I had my progesterone levels tested on the day of transfer too to see whether I needed extra or not.
I was on Progynova x 3 a day, and it seems they're the most commonly used but also can have the worst side effects. I don't want to make you worry unnecessarily as a lot of women experience zero or very few effects, but I wish I had been warned as they made me feel very rough - terrible headaches, nausea, dizzy and room spins mainly. I was told I may get used to them or that when I started progesterone it would improve, but didn't happen. Because my lining actually got too thick on them my clinic said I could go down to one a day and that helped, then after my BFP I tapered off as soon as possible. I think I'm just especially sensitive to them and hopefully you won't even notice, just better to be prepared in case they do make you feel a bit rubbish x
Pleased you posted this. I’ve always had the pill or Prostap but this time I’m having nothing. Just started estrangen on period day 2 then scan day 13. Will then be progesterone for the days before transfer x
