medicated FET prep and time frame of Transfer

Hi everyone, hope your all doing ok. I have tried to stay as positive as I could, so not been on here too often so I didn’t cloud my judgement. Hugs to everyone struggling 😘

I got my Prostap injection yesterday and have a baseline scan in two weeks. But from then on I don’t have dates and the protocol sheet advises that the next steps are dependant on when you start to take pills to build up the lining.

Would love to get a rough idea of how long you girls had to wait in between each stage and from a second womb thickness scan how long you waited for transfer?

My protocol for a FET has always been... start taking estrogen tablets the day of or day after baseline scan if all ok. 2nd scan booked in for around 7-10 days later and start taking progesterone the following day if all ok that time. Transfer is after 5 full days of progesterone (we have day 5 blasts). So transfer for me has always been around 16 days after baseline scan but has varied by a day or 2. Wishing you lots of luck xx

Hey 👋🏼 from prostrap injection to actual transfer I have been 5 weeks In between normally.

I have my injection on Friday and based on previous I think I am looking at:

Baseline scan 2 weeks later to see if lining is thin enough to start meds

Next scan 10-12 days later to check of lining thick enough For transfer (more meds added including progesterone)

If all well then transfer about 8days later

Hope that helps and looks like we will be FET cycle buddies ☺️ Xx

Thank you that’s great info! Exactly what I was looking for, hopefully there isn’t many differences in this.

Yea it’s good to have a cycle buddy! Good luck xx

My clinic don’t do prostap. I start oestrogen on CD2 then a lining scan 10 days later. My lining is never thick enough, so usually need to take another 4-5 days of higher dose oestrogen. Then start progesterone and 6 days after starting is transfer day. I would say don’t get too hung up on schedules as I’ve found things never go to plan. Good luck.

Thank you, I know I need to forget about it, I know planning and infertility do not work together. X

It easier said than done. I tell myself all the time not to plan but can’t help it either.
