Very low AMH at 41

I am in a bit of a state right now as I was told that my AMH is 0.3 yesterday. I know a lot of ladies have success with low AMH but is there anyone who had a baby with own egg with such a low level AMH? Age isn't on my side either as I turned 41 this month.

We are lucky to have a daughter I conceived two years ago through ICSI. I was in shock as my AMH was 9.8 three years ago which was considered to be good for my age at that time. We would love to give her a sibling but looks like that is unlikely to happen which I am finding it difficult to come to term with...

Hi Beakbeak. Oh dear I can fully understand your worries. I assume you don’t have any embryos left from when you created your daughter. I had known a very low AMH yield 2-3 eggs after stimulation, so perhaps if you can afford it you could try again. Someone will reply with their success, I hope. I’m sure you want to try again using your own eggs before perhaps moving on to use an egg donor. I do wish you we with whatever you decide. Diane

Thank you Diane. I had one frostie from the cycle which gave us our little girl but sadly ended with CP. We don't think we will go down the DE route so will cross our fingers and toes for the next cycle.

mine is 0.6 early this year, I’m 40, increased to 0.9 after taking Q10 for few months, very poor ovary response after stimulation, so changed to down reg long protocol, follicle counts looks a bit better, still under down reg, as long as you can produce egg, and can afford it, there’s chance, don’t give up, I’m going to try DHEA as well, try every method to improve the quality

Thanks Avocado111. It's so tough isn't it. I was advised to take a low dose of DHEA before the next round as my DHEA-S level is sufficient apparently. I was also recommended to take Ubiquinol too. Really hope you will get the lucky egg this time round. Keep me posted! x

try to stay positive it could still happen. My AMH was 2.7 around 2 years prior to my successful round and it could have been a lot lower by then. I only got three eggs on each collection. On the last round I had a successful pregnancy after a fresh transfer and another pregnancy from a frozen embryo transfer, so two babies out of three eggs. I had taken a lot of supplements prior to that last round. X
