I’m leading up to FET… just wondering if ok to take pregnancy vitamins (Pregnacare plus) or should it be pre-pregnancy vits? Thanks x

vitamins pre FET
Hi Dottiesparkle , I’m taking pregnacare conception which says is also pregnancy safe. I think pregnancy ones should be ok, our clinic only said folid acid + vitamin D, so I think those are the key ones. I also had this question, I think pregnancy ones make more sense. How are you feeling? Have you got a date yet? All the best of luck for your transfer, I hope everything goes perfectly and your dream comes true 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hi Hopewhite,
Thank you 😊 I’m good thanks… how are you getting on? My scan date is the 30th & if all is well Embryo transfer is provisionally booked for the 7th November 🤞🏻 How about you? X
As Hopewhite has said the important bits are Folic acid and vitamin D, most pregnancy vitamins cover this, although just as a note, I was using Sainsbury's own and never read the packet that said you should take two a day, and had only been taking one. So just double check the packaging to make sure you are getting the correct amount ☺️. I personally wouldn't fork out for branded versions either, just used supermarket own. Good luck with your FET!
Hi! Make sure the vitamins don't contain coenzyme Q10/ubuquinol. My clinic said it could be harmful pre and especially after FET. Very best of luck!
No way! Did they say why at all? Loads of people have been telling me to take coq10 as its supposed to help improve egg quality? I haven't asked my doctor or nurse yet
Thanks for sharing this, then I definitely need the pregnancy pregnacare ones if that’s the case ! I didn’t know it could be harmful , I’ve been taking them every other day and having only folid acid + d on the other days.
Do you remember what was wrong with taking those ? Many thanks xx
Thank you all for the replies… good to know about the CQ10!
Good luck to you all at each stage you’re all at 💕
