Round 2!

Hello! Second FET is booked in for next Tuesday and scan yesterday went well. I’m also off work for two weeks due to school holidays and on paper, I should be feeling good and more prepared but instead, I’m freaking out!! I keep waking up in the middle of the night in a complete panic and it’s occupying every waking thought too. Any suggestions on how I can combat the anxiety? I haven’t even started the 2WW yet !! 😩😩

I know the feeling! My advice is to just try and keep busy and distract yourself and you could also try the mindful IVF app to help you relax - I put it on to help me drift off to sleep!

we are FET buddies - I am also having my transfer on Tuesday!

Try keep busy, but also plan some activities that will help with relaxation - a massage, get your nails done, maybe acupuncture, something like that. I like to think that doing something to help me stay calm is actively helping my chances, so I feel a little more in control if that makes sense.

Good luck!!

Likewise!! ❤️

I’m anxious but excited, I think only because I have had a decent break. This is my 5th transfer but my 4th resulted in our baby boy almost 3 years ago. Will probably feel a lot less cheery in 14 days if it fails, but for now I’m okay 🤪

Also, I was just thinking, does your clinic offer a counselling service? Maybe talking to someone like that might help too?

The Fertility Network have fertility yoga sessions on YouTube. I find doing a session in the evening helps me sleep when I'm feeling stressed about treatment or when I am struggling with the mental side effects of the drugs. Might be worth a try! Good luck 😀

hi Dinobaby I completely understand those feelings! I have the scan next Thursday and have found myself struggling with anxious thoughts some days, I think is very normal as it is a lot to go through emotionally. Just be kind to yourself and take 1 day at a time , try to find something to help you distract your mind from it , a new book or series perhaps, something to pamper yourself, a new hobby , exercise or whatever normally helps you xx

I wish you all the best for your transfer I hope this is your lucky time 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Hi! I was also really anxious before my second FET after the first one failed. What really helped me was fertility reflexology. You can also continue it during pregnancy after the first trimester. Very best of luck with your transfer!
