Period finally made an appearance / frozen embryo cycle

My period has been 10 days late as I waiting to start my medication before my frozen embryo transfer. My anxiety has been through the roof so wondering if that impacted the delay !! Will start my medication tomorrow as it’s too late today. They are putting me on PROGYNOVA. Has anyone been in this and how did they feel on it ?

I’m currently on Progynova and have taken it for two transfer cycles. For me it’s not the Progynova that’s caused any symptoms or issues, it’s the progesterone! Good luck with your transfer xx

I think it affects everyone differently, but for me lots of progesterone means the symptoms you get just before a period, bloating, hungry, emotional! But we do what we we have to do!

ohhhh🥺 What we woman can handle it’s astounding. Ivf takes a such a toll on us but we keep pushing. I have really found this forum so comforting as it’s all very isolating and it’s wonderful knowing I’m not alone

I totally agree. This transfer (currently on third) we decided not to share with anyone, and this forum has been my outlet otherwise I would have felt completely isolated. We do ride the physical and emotional rollercoasters but keep pushing on 🥺x lots of love and strength xx

Hi I am also on my first frozen embryo cycle , i lost my first fresh transfer at 22 weeks to fetal anomaly sadly very recently. We have one frozen embryo left . And giving it a try . I started my period on the 12th on day 3 started oestrogen progynova 1 3x a day . Will go for a scan next Monday and they will measure my lining if all goes well theyll start me on progesterone and book me in for the transfer 5 days later . Hope that helps! Ohh I’m so sorry Pcosivf my thoughts go out to you. Will have you in my thoughts and prayers during this time. How are you feeling now? I start tomorrow and will be splitting up my meds as my body gets overwhelmed so will do 2x in the morning and 2x in the evening. I have my first scan on the 1st of November💞

Things are tough and I guess i am still grieving as i had just lost her this august but so grateful to be able to try again . Hoping this transfer works and we have a healthy baby to love and keep .

Oestrogen has been quite rough for me its too much hormones i suppose , getting alof of acne (have pcos) so its exacerbated, having pains in my lower back and just aches in my stomach abit cramp like . Though i take 1 3x a day i just have to ride through i guess? . Next monday is my scan hoping this week goes smoothly and fast and the tablets are working as they should xx

Did your Clinic asked to do a baseline scan to exclude cyst? As your period was delayed, it could be the cause.

No but now I think about it this is my second period post egg retrieval so maybe that is why ?

Hi, I’ve been on Progynova for all my cycles. Didn’t have any side effects. I always drink at least 2 litres of water a day as soon as I start the medication which I think helps. Wishing you all the luck in the world. X
