5 IVF Cycles, 4 transfers, 3 BFPs, 2 MC, 1 Beautiful daughter........my husband wont do any more IVF but i am desperate to try for a sibling for my little girl.
I have tried soy for 1 cycle so far, with no joy, however, i was wondering for those who say Soy helped them conceive, how many cycles did it take?
I am taking them day 3-7, then using home ovulation sticks to get the best time for timed intercourse.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated, although, i know my age is very much against me as i am 42 with a low AMH..

Hi Mrsjaytee. Was your daughter born naturally? If an infection occurred or by c-section, there is a tiny chance your Fallopian tubes may have been affected. Otherwise I would just say to have regular sex, no longer than 3days in between, to keep your tubes primed with sperm Tharp live for 4 days, waiting for an egg. I don’t know much about the benefits of soy, but don’t forget your Folic acid and vitamin D daily. Eat pineapple core to keep blood supply flowing an help prevent clot formation. Try new positions if womb is tilted and good luck. Diane
Still no BFP, but today i am on day 25 (av 25 day cycle, but with some at 20 and some at 28), and about 3 days ago i had 1 heavy pink wipe, but nothing since...so although i feel nothing in relation to feeling pregnant, i am still keeping my fingers crossed.
Soy can affect fertility so I would avoid. You could try with advice taking dhea whilst you TTC. I’m the same age as you and have been doing IVF a lot due to my husband’s morphology. I was TTC a sibling and recently had a missed miscarriage. I did the egg retrieval at 40. I have 5 day 5 blastocysts frozen it none are tested. I also found out I need a hysteroscopy as some left over tissue has remained in spite of ovulating and getting period again.
I know. Its so hard. I took DHEA when doing my IVF cycles too. We had all our embies tested, so we had very few actually transferred. I would honestly do another cycle, but my husband has said no. Which I do agree with to an extent, but I am just pining after a sibling. My doc cant prescribe me clomid or anything similar as it needs to go via a ferility specialist, and our fertlity was in Dublin, so we dont want to do the travelling anymore. I feel so desperate and i had read on forums that women like us, had taken soy isoflavones and it helped them conceive. Iknow we are so very lucky to have our daughter, but it doesnt stop me really wanting another. Have you planned to do any transfers soon? I know it can be hard after a MC.
