Well I honestly do believe it helped us. We did lots of failed transfers with top rated embryos in amongst a couple of early losses which was when we started messing around timing wise. My ERA showed I needed an extra 24hrs of progesterone before transfer so transfer on day 6 instead of 5. Coincidence or not we got lucky with twins using this protocol and know a few others it has helped too. Good luck.xx

Thank you so much! Being told it wont always show anything but I don’t want to take the risk of finding out the hard way.

Hi H. If you have had several failures, I believe it can help with timing of embryo transfer and how much progesterone you might need. Good luck. Diane

Hi

I asked exactly this question of my consultant recently as of course we’d pay extra if we thought it might improve our chances. The answer that I was given was that there currently isn’t enough reliable research data to rely upon so my clinic doesn’t offer it. I know that there will always be success stories of people who had add ons and then they got their bfp but it is very difficult for them to know if it was the treatment or just the right embryo. One of the things I try to avoid being drawn into is extra treatments that aren’t supported by the Hfea and think that money is being spent towards extra goes. Of course you should do what feels right for you but that’s my thinking.

Best wishes and hope you get your dream result x

It’s worth a try, I know Clinics are there to make money but there is some really good people who work in these feilds and need patients to try new things to assist with longer term research and better outcomes. I had it done but I’m a believer in Science but those other add on’s are questionable ie vag detox’s etc. Just my thoughts.

I did it more as a process of elimination, the results were clear apart from slightly low lactobacillus and the standard window for progesterone that was being used for me remained unchanged. So I guess if you think it would play on your mind if things did not work out then you might consider doing this. All the best on your journey x

I didn't do the Alice/Emma test but another test which tested for good/bad bacteria and infections. I had some infections in my microbiome, took a course of antibiotics to clear it. Also my lactobacillus levels were moderate, not high so I took probiotics (oral ans vaginal pessaries). I retested and infections had cleared and lactobacillus levels were high. The test uses menstrual blood and vaginal swab so less invasive the Emma/Alice.PM me if you want more info
