Hi everyone, I’m starting stims tomorrow for my first ever IVF round - mixture of excitement, nerves, hope, sadness, worry - it’s such a very odd mix of emotions! One moment I’m really hopeful and optimistic it will work, the next I’m convinced it won’t. Anyone else starting / just started their round?

Hi Mini - just to say good luck ❤️ ask as many questions as pos if you need to. I had my 3rd egg collection yesterday so not far ahead of you. Wishing you all the best!
Thanks Elsidee, and you, best of luck with it! And thanks for your message ❤️
Good luck! I’m starting tomorrow, so nervous but excited!!
Good luck to you too Emily! We’ve got this 💪💪 Feel free to message me direct over the coming weeks if you need someone to vent to!
Absolutely that would be great 😊, it’s so daunting isn’t it. My period was delayed by 3 weeks so it’s been killing me waiting to start. Positive thinking for the next month 🤞🏼🤞🏼 xx
The waiting is excruciating, although teaching us to be patient at least! I’ve been on Norethisterone period delay tablets for 13 days, then had a 5 day break, and start on Gonal F injections tonight. Egg collection booked in for 6th Nov if all goes to plan 🤞What protocol are you on if you don’t mind me asking? x
Oh I’ve not heard of that before, can I ask why they put you on them?
Sure I’m in a mild protocol starting with 125ml bemfola, all being well on day 6, I’ll start the cetrotide injections and they’ll measure when retrieval will be, but it should be roughly within 10-14 days.
I’m on an NHS cycle, and so I think my area uses Noresthisterone tablets to help manage the timings of the cycle. A tad frustrating as my cycles are pretty regular anyway, so has felt like I’m on 2 weeks of tablets to ‘replan’ my cycle, but I can see the benefit of it, if the NHS are navigating 100’s of fertility patients across the area, they can basically time every one so that they can give everyone a planner of medication, dates, scans etc. Other than my tablets, sounds like we’re on a similar protocol though - I’m on 125ml of Gonal F, then add Cetrotide after 6 days. Hopefully not too painful!! x
Hi MiniCeeCee
I am about to start my first cycle with the NHS. I am due to start Noresthisterone on Friday 3/11 for two weeks. I will then be on ovaleap then cetrotide. So you are a few weeks ahead of me.
Good luck MiniCeeCee! Sending you positive energy ❤️
