I've got my consultation with Prof Brosens tonight. I usually like to have a list of questions. Has anybody had their results and have any advice? Things you wish you remembered to ask? Will I get the report sent afterwards?
I had 6 fresh rounds, mostly double transfers and no implantation at all. I'm thinking maybe I exhausted my body doing so much in a year and probably my failures were down to poor quality eggs.
Any insight or experiences appreciated.

Ahh good luck! I hope you get some answers!! I had mine last week, everything looked healthy and fine, which obviously is great but I was initially disappointed as I wanted something to try to 'fix' so been left with no answers still! I think definitely make sure you prepare yourself for it to be fine (I didn't, was convinced something would come up, so it came as a bit of a shock hearing it).
I found it useful to ask him about other tests to look into (all of which he poo-pooed lol but at least we're not wasting anymore money on any other tests now). So yeah either way definitely get his thoughts on other things you can look into if you did have questions. He's soooo knowledgeable it's worth asking. He's very honest and will give your his opinion on things in relation to your case.
He sends the report to you afterwards yes, so no need to frantically write anything down at the time of the call.

Got my results and everything seems normal so will push on with my transfer.
Only thing was that the maturation of my endometrial glands is delayed by 48 hrs, but not a lot is known about that and there's no treatment, so he thinks it doesn't matter.

Ah that’s good! Hope the next transfer goes okay!! Ah right, does that mean you need a transfer or progesterone 48 hours after normally scheduled? Or am I barking up the wrong tree haha.

So I was equivalent to 8 days post ovulation but my glands were mature to 5 days and they should have been at 7 days. I would have thought that would mean taking progesterone 48 hours earlier. However he said I'd need a era to know that which he wouldn't recommend.
My progesterone was at 156.6 nmol/l. If you don't mind me asking, were you on a natural or medicated cycle and what was yours?
What additional tests does Tommy's in London do?
Ahh right, yeah he was funny about the ERA when I asked. Tbh it made sense what he said about them as every cycle is different!
Oh wow that is an amazing progesterone level!! I was 7DPO and it was 31.8 nmol/L, he said that was in normal range so hopefully that's fine....did you do a medicated cycle for this? As in take progesterone suppositories? I did completely natural for the dEFT test cycle as that's what I usually do for IVF...though actually I do usually take the progesterone supps for my frozen IVF cycles as I'm worried it's the cause of my issues.
Tommy's look into clotting disorders, amongst other things (not sure exactly as I haven't been yet). I've had basic clotting tests done with the NHS but as Tommy's is a research clinic they can do more than just the standard recurrent miscarriage clinics at 'normal' NHS hospitals.
Ah ok, thank you. Yeah, I was on a medicated cycle, 1200mg cyclogest as that's what I was planning for my frozen transfer and have had previously. I've also had lubion injections previously too, so wondering if it has been too high for implantation. On my last medicated fresh cycle it was around 480 on a progesterone test a couple of days before transfer.
Ahh that makes sense as to why your levels were so high! I might be wrong but surely there's not much a thing as too high levels of progesterone??

I’m no expert but from the research I’ve done the ERA, EMMA, ALICE tests might be helpful to you. Maybe ask about those?
Thank you 😊 I did look into those. I think the EMMA looks at most common bacteria and treatment might be probiotics, so I've just taken them anyway. I think ALICE might look at more rare imbalances in the microbiome.I was advised against ERA as there is research that altering when progesterone is started based on the results might actually lead to poorer outcomes, so I'm hesitant to change that. Also if the implantation tests have shown I'm receptive, it might not be relevant.
This is so difficult making the decisions! I don't think there is a right answer. There's so many "what ifs"!
Hi There, I hope you don't mind, can you tell me how it went at Warwick University and anything that would be helpful to learn as I am booked for consultation. I'm suffering RIF and I feel quite low and trying to get some advice. My clinic wants me to do all Emma, era, Alice but I've read it's pretty inconclusive but I went to implantation clinic to be more affordable and research led.
Hello, personally I'd only get the deft done at Coventry and forget the rest. That should tell you if you are receptive or not. The stuff available elsewhere is a rip off and with limited evidence as hefa says.
Don't bother with the one looking for infection (Alice/Emma,?) just take probiotic anyway as that is the treatment.
In terms of ERA, there is evidence that altering timing of progesterone based on results can actually worse outcomes in some cases. And the result is only applicable to the cycle the biopsies taken for definite in any case.
My Coventry result indicated I'm receptive close to 42nd percentile), which i am as I miscarried shortly afterwards and have x daughter from previously.

Thank you Orangeflowers. I do appreciate your candid advice and support. I am sorry to read you miscarried. Was it after they did a biopsy and changed your FET date that the pregnancy did not work?
I spoke with our IVF clinic, and they confirmed it was not worth doing Alice and Emma. They admitted to just sticking to ERA, either at their clinic or at Coventry. Given I had three failed implantations, it is worth doing it.
What if - is the golden dilemma. Given appointment for Coventry is mid-April, then I have to wait for biopsy; it could be June before the next cycle.
The IVF clinic recommends PRP; that is a wild goose chase.
