Hi everyone.
Just wondering if anyone has been to the implantation clinic with LWC and wouldn’t mind messaging me with their experience?
Thank you

Hi RubyVet, if you hear anything, could you please share with me, I’m speaking to a LWC consultant Friday to discuss this very thing. xx
I hope your appointment went well today. Nobody got in touch with me for me to pass anything on xxx
Meeting was interesting..
As I’ve had 3 pregnancies which all miscarried, 1 at 8 weeks, 2 chemicals, the consultant advised that the NK cell test is appropriate for those women who haven’t had success with implantation, therefore not necessary for me.
Instead he advised I have an aqua scan, thrombopilic screening (bloods) and that both of us have karyotyping of our chromosomes.
Something to discuss over the weekend.
Xx
It’s nice to hear that they make a plan to suit you. I’m getting fed up of being told a plan based on my age. I’ve never heard of a aqua scan!
I’m glad it went well and gave you something to think about. Gives you abit of hope again having a plan in place xxx
I asked to speak to a different consultant as the one I spoke to originally didn’t really say much, quite dismissive.
Not sure how old you are, but I’m 41 next month and I feel much better after a constructive conversation. The tests maybe a waste of money especially if they show there’s nothing wrong , but it’s reassurance for me and OH that additional investigations are now going to take place.
Xx
I feel the same, the tests might not even bring back results but I need to know there isn’t anything wrong. I’m 28 and my husband is 31 so we just get told to keep going as we are young and healthy. However we have been trying for 3 years so we will see what they say!
Thank you for sharing all this with me, it’s a great help xx
I’m not particularly impressed with my clinic.I’ve had 4 egg collections
6 embryo transfers
4 positive tests
4 miscarriages
I emailed to cancel my 7 week scan last week due to MC and they didn’t even reply!
Basically they are a sausage factory!
Results I’d say are average for success.
I’m unlucky.
However, don’t except them to care when it doesn’t go right.
Oh and I’ve spent £70000 with them.
I’ve got one frosty left and if that doesn’t work it’s game over for me.
Hi yes they were amazing! I previously had 3 failed transfers.. I got referred to lwc implantation clinic at london bridge
They found a number of changes I needed to make, change in timing for my transfer, extra progresterone + adding in lubion injections
Also found I have nk cells so added in prednisolone steroids and clexane injections
I got my first positive after using their results currently 11 weeks 5 days with twins
Are with a patient with lwc? I'm a patient with them, my clinic is the Cardiff branch. I got referred and Dr Rahamati called me within 2 weeks then advised to start with my next period. They then give your treatment plan and you go for a baseline scan day 3 of your bleed. The biopsy was done around day 19 of my cycle
My results took around 6 weeks to come back then
xx
I’m with the Cardiff LWC! What a small world (or community should I say). That’s great, thank you so much for this. It’s nice to speak to someone who’s done it so I know what to expect xxx
Aww wow definitely what a small world! Your in good hands Dr Rahamati and the team at the implantation clinic in London know their stuff 😊 are you part of the LWC social on Facebook?I find that Facebook group really good for advice aswell
Any questions, my inbox is always open lovely xx
Hi ladies, I know this was a few months ago but just wondered how you're getting on RubyVet Hope_1234 and Becatoms ? I've self-referred to the Implantation Clinic (speaking with a doctor next week) as even though my consultant thinks my failed transfers are down to embryos not being chromosomally normally, we want to rule out as much as we can in one go (i.e. from one biopsy) before transferring out last 2 embryos. When they gave you your treatment plan, if it differs from what you'd done on previous FETs (if you'd had FETs), I guess that means for your next transfers you have to follow whatever protocol the Implantation Clinic puts you on for your tests? Is that right? Any insights much appreciated xx
