Hi all, i hope you're all keeping strong and well on this journey xx
I'm having our review appointment next week, after a failed fresh transfer in May which sadly ended as a missed miscarriage at nearly 8 weeks on the viability scan at end of June . Luckily we did manage to freeze 2 other embryos , so our next step should be a FET. We have MF and I've been told my ovaries are polycystic but I've never been diagnosed with PCOS. We are both healthy weight, exercise regularly and try to have a healthy lifestyle.
This was our first try on IVF, wondering what should I be discussing with the consultant?
I feel a bit blind as the embryos weren't tested, so I'm not sure if it was the embryo that failed or something else. I'd appreciate any advise you could give me so I can make the most of the review appointment.
Thank you all, sending you loads of luck and hope on your journeys xx

First cycle of IVF is very much like a learning curve so ask consultant if there are any changes he could maybe suggest - such as using some low dosage aspirin /heparin to ensure good blood flow to your womb Also ask if there are any supplements he feels would be of benefit to you
Thank you so much Janet, I'll make sure to ask this, I'll also raise the question about the Warwick implantation clinic, feeling at cross roads time wise, I'd like to avoid another disappointing result and at the same time I know more time would be required for the further studies.
Hi! I am really sorry your first transfer didn't work. Ours didn't either, though in much less dramatic circumstances - it was merely a BFN. For our review appointment, we asked whether and how we could tweak the protocol. They put me on baby aspirin (two edged sword, that one, it probably helped with implantation but then gave me a large subchorionic haematoma and scary bleed at 6 weeks, so had to stop it. Fortunately, the baby stuck!) and also on oral and vaginal probiotics in the run up to the transfer. Very best of luck with your FET!
Thank you so much for sharing this Eloquentia!, apologies I was away and tried to disconnect from the whole thing for a few days!, our appointment is finally tomorrow! I'll make sure to raise all of this to see what tweaks they can suggest for us! I hope you're doing well in your journey xx
