They said if we did another collection we could have testing done on the embryos . They wouldn’t alter my meds though and would keep me on the same as previous cycles .
They said my tests for implantation I’ve had done previously were all ok .
Feel a bit down to be honest as is it worth doing it all again for nothing to be changed on the protocol . Another 9k for collection , around 3k for testing and for them then not to change anything after my 2 chemicals and 1 miscarriage .

Hi there, this process is so hard, frustrating and expensive isn’t it. I went through many moments of wanting to change everything. I’m so sorry you have had such a tough journey so far. We had many negatives, multiple chemicals and a miscarriage before we got lucky. I wanted to change everything but my medical team said to stick with the plan. If you can afford to I would go for it. We decided against testing as any embryos we got I wanted to think positively about no matter what but that was very individual for us. Good luck & I really hope the next one is the one that gets you there.xx
I'd defo go elsewhere, especially if you're not happy with their plans and next steps. That's very expensive for what you get. Also might be worth to ask with 8 transfers is it really likely to be a embryo issue or an immune issue? If they don't test progesterone levels or test to see if you need steroids, you could be going around in circles.
Wishing you lots of luck MrsB on whatever you decide to do ❤️✨️ always available for a chat if you need me xxx
We asked this but she said with already transferring 8 embryos from out last collection she would have thought not all of them would have been en embryo issue . She said my pcos wasn’t officially diagnosed as I have no symptoms too …
They never test progesterone or won’t offer me any more meds . I feel like you said if nothings changing is it worth it.
That's very top end price wise. If they aren't doing anything super special in terms of protocol I'd be tempted to switch to a different clinic, I think one half the price would likely get you the same result, and leave enough for a subsequent round of needed!
I did a round at one of the most expensive clinics on Harley Street who have amazing success rates, and they got same number of eggs as a very standard protocol at a clinic on Cape town. Obviously that's just me and some people with specific immune issues etc definitely benefit from a different approach but if you've had the tests and all looks fine then I'd definitely question the benefit of staying with a top end clinic.
It does sound like your body is doing everything it should, and that the issue is likely embryo viability so testing the embryos sounds like a good plan regardless of clinic.
2 chemicals and a miscarriage does sound like embryo testing would be a good idea but if you are paying that amount of money (that is twice what I’m paying btw) I would be expecting them to at least try adding in some additional things to at least try (extra progesterone etc.) and my clinic has suggested next cycle we do testing too but throw all the meds at it from a stims point of view to get as many embryos as possible since we are doing a freeze all anyway so not the same risk of OHSS and fresh transfer, maybe ask them why not that approach for you (there might be a reason but they haven’t explained it?) xx
