Hi ladies,

Does anyone have an up to date price for Lubion injections? Pharmacy to home have quoted a ridiculous price for a weeks worth, close to £500!!!! I’m sure that’s almost 4 times what a paid for my last round in 2022. Thanks in advance!

Oh that’s odd! A box of 7 doses is usually £55-60. Would you be taking it 10 times a day? 😂

You can also find it at Asda pharmacy, Lloyds, but would need to call ahead to make sure they have it I think. Or I got it via the clinic from fertility2u at £58.31 per box plus sharps kit at £1.95.

My clinic's provider quoted some mad price to me, and I think it does fluctuate as I've paid different amounts for lubion. Try Asda as they provide them at cost so that should give you the correct base price.

Bought last week from Asda 56 quid for 7 injections. They don't provide needles though.

Stork were £84 per pack of 7 in march this year. Are you shire that isn't the total price for up to 6 week scan of successful. Although that seems a strange way to do it as most clinics give meds to just after test day then you order the rest. You will usually need 3-4 boxes from 5 days before transfer to test day.

I can’t recall the exact costs but I got lubion through Morrisons pharmacy and my local high street pharmacy. Saved a lot of money! Worthwhile popping in to a couple and asking for them to price up your prescription. Xx

£67 for a box of 7 in Asda. They can usually get it in within a day or so if you order early in the day x

Hi Claire, I couldn’t give you the exact price but Asda pharmacy charge a fraction of that and they are the cheapest on the market. You sometimes need to give them a week’s notice to order everything in, but I would go there if you can. I wish I’d used them every round, but it took until 6th transfer for me to try them out.

I paid £10 per injection in March this year. I got 21 days worth and everything I needed was included, sharps etc.

I got it delivered next day too which was an additional charge.

Can send the details by private message if needed.

I've got recent prices (I called each pharmacy yesterday) so for 7 vials in tesco I paid £75.6, in asda it cost £56 but they are on special order and it takes 3-5 working days to get them... in boots it was £93 and the same, 3-5 days to deliver. I had to get them from tesco because they were the ONLY one to have them in stock in my town 🤦‍♀️ my clinic send me prescription very late (got it on Wednesday afternoon) and I was running out of Lubion on Thursday :/ and in my Clinic I paid £98 for 7 vials

Hi Claire,

This is insanely expensive.

We had to pay £194 for 2 weeks supply from our clinics pharmacy. I asked for a private prescription and got it from Asda at a cost of £112 for 14 vials (excluding sharps). To mention I got the prescription on our follow-up consultation free of charge.

Asda does not charge the VAT for fertility drugs. You just need to call the pharmacy to check what medication they have got in stock.

Hope that helps.

xx

Thanks, I got it much cheaper at Asda. Although the clinic were less than impressed when I realised I didn’t get needles, syringes etc and they had to give me a supply. Nurse very abruptly told me I should have just paid for the extortionate deliver service! Helpful 🤦🏻‍♀️x

Just another way to extort us poor women going through this. ‘Infertility? Add another zero’ is how it feels with everything. So nice to hear Asda don’t charge the VAT :)

Did you need a special prescription to get it from Asda? Our clinic send my prescription directly to stork… xx
