teratazoospermia - what’s next

hi, so we have been TTC for just over a year, I got pregnant last year but miscarried at 9 weeks and haven’t been pregnant since. I had my initial tests on the nhs, they were all fine and the GP told me to just keep trying. My husband had his tests, he has teratazoospermia and has been told, it will be difficult for us to get pregnant and we will need a referral to the fertility clinic.

Has anyone had any experience with teratazoospermia? Did you get pregnant? Or were you referred for IVF? How long will we need to wait for our appointment and how long is the waiting list for IVF on the NHS?

thanks in advance

Hi ZV. So sorry to hear that you suffered a miscarriage at 9 weeks, just when you would believe all was well. I do hope you had plenty of support at the time. My feelings are that with a high morphology rate, it looks like you will need ICSI so sperm can be selected and injected into each egg retrieval. Good luck. Diane
