Hi, I’m in need of advice. My cycle has just been cancelled as I didn’t respond well to the medication and my follicles didn’t grow. The clinic have suggested going back to what works which is the long protocol. Time isn’t on my side with low AMH and wondering would you start as soon as the withdrawal bleed or wait until you have a ‘normal’ period and then start? Any advice would be helpful and good luck to everyone on their journey 🌈🤞🏼🥰

advice on when to start next round
Hi. If you feel ready and don’t need a break I would start right away, IVF is all medication lead anyway taking over the hormones that the body naturally would be making. Seek advice from your clinic but if they say it’s your decision do it if you feel ready. I always found it was easier to just keep going without asking for a break or delaying treatment but that was right for me xx
I would speak to your clinic. Ours won’t take us until the period after withdrawal bleed of the cycle had hormones involved as they like to have that month in between meds xx
Maybe you should discuss with your clinic when they would advice you to restart treatment - they know your history etc Good luck for the future when you are having treatment
Take care

Sorry to hear this. I had multiple problems on the the scans, cysts, too thick lining, lining improperly shed. I didn't respond to the meds either with only two follicles with a low chance of making it, and my first cycle was cancelled. Was told will have a bleed, let that go, then make my scanning appointment for the next one. I don't know what your clinic would suggest. I somehow skipped that expected bleed, the next bleed was actually 6 weeks later, with extreme pain and gore. I could have probably pushed with meds to bring on that bleed earlier. In my case I think I was drained, trying to finish my exams and didn't want to face reality. But that terrible bleed 'reset' everything. I waited for the next bleed a month later. It was a normal bleed and on that for the first time my scan was normal and I started the second round of meds (albeit with not much to work with). I'm not suggesting you do any of this, your clinic would have a better understanding of what to do, just letting you know my experience. Take care.
