Can some one please share their experiences with previous ectopic pregnancies and had successful ivf?
I am 32 and trying for around 5 years now.
I am going crazy , i had one failed ivf , doctor reviewed my case and said that reason for failed ivf could be insufficient progesterone but my family doctor says to get hysteroscopy done before another ivf considering my history of ectopics.
But here in uk doctor say that i am young and should try for another ivf before doing further investigations.
How to make a decision, i am so very confused and going crazy thinking about this.
Hi I have suffered 3 ectopic pregnancies I’m so sorry you have to it’s truly awful. I feel on 1st ivf cycle my daughter Ava is now 4 months old here if would like to talk xx
Thank you I was due to have an investigation op to see what was wrong with tubes but 2 weeks before I feel pregnant so was cancelled and that was my 3rd ectopic my consultant just referred me straight away have You been referred yet? X
Oh sorry I read your post wrong sorry for your unsuccessful cycle hopefully this time around your clinic will provide with enough progesterone support to help be successful and aid the pregnancy did you get funding or are you self funding? Xx
I’ve experienced one ectopic pregnancy and had to have both Fallopian tubes removed prior to starting ivf.
Going in for a hysterscopy before another round of ivf makes sense to me. It may inform how best to proceed with you next ivf treatment. I’ve had most of the exploratory/investigative fertility procedures done over the years, and found the results useful at the time.
I had a hysteroscopy done after my first ivf round failed. They didn't find much, but I was glad to know there weren't any polyps or anything that could prevent implantation.
Hi testuser I have had two ectopic pregnancies one in my right tube treated with methotrexate and one in my left tube which resulted in tube removal I am currently loosing weight to get my funding approved its a difficult journey. Here if you would like to talk xxxx
I’ve had 3 ectopic pregnancies and eventually had both tubes removed so ivf was my only option. We’ve just had our 2nd course of ivf and I’m 8 weeks pregnant today. Do they not know the reason behind your ectopics and that’s why they think you need the Hysteroscopy? I had endometriosis and a mishaped tube which meant the pregnancy would stay in there Xx
