Has anyone paid a full cycle package, froze all and did a FET as part of the original package price?
We paid for a full cycle (price includs 'embryotransfer') and did not transfer in the cycle, with a plan to repeat ECs until we have enough embryos banked.
When we started talking to the clinic about the FET, we were presented with an additional fee for the FET as a single item on the price list.
Thank you in advance for your experiences!

Hi I did a multi cycle so the FET was included, but not the drugs. I got those at asda as they were cheaper fyi. Look back at your forms. But I can imagine FET is on top for a lot of protocols x
it depends what package you paid for…. We went with a multi cycle package that included the FETs, but we weren’t allowed to embryo bank - we had to use all the embryos we had before going for another collection. If we would have paid for just an IVF cycle, FET would have been additional cost above that.
Hi konyaga,We paid for a multicycle package, it was inclusive of everything apart from the medication and there were T&Cs, like we had to fresh transfer each round and use up all embryos before moving onto the next round.
Yes it’s pretty normal - the cost of the embryo transfer itself in terms of resources etc when done 5 days after egg collection is minimal - but when you have to do a feeeze all and FET then you would usually have additional drugs as well as scans every 2 days or so leading up to the transfer and it’s that bit you are being charged for - my clinic charged a reduced rate for FET following a medically advised freeze all (think they knocked off about £250)
We paid package.Mean 3 cycle includes fresh or frozen transfer.
If example the first cycle -
you have 5 fertilized egg.
Its cinsidered 1 ivf cycle. The transfered /and Fet is included.
If incase the 5 fertilize didnt work.. you will have the 2nd cycle full cycle again with the transferef fresh or frozen is part of it. Until you have done the 3rd cycle.
Thats was our agreement with our clinic here in Denmark.
Just ask your clinic it should not be an additional cost when it comes to transfer.
However you can review your signed contract for clarification.
