I'm day 12 post 3 day embryo transfer. I've been spotting for a day and ha half and now way more bloody mucus. Looks like I have my period. Now needing sanitary towels. I don't do a pregnancy test until Wednesday 14th. I feel like I'm having my period. Has anyone had what looks just like a period but wasn't. I feel like it's a failed IVF. Still gojngbto carry on with pessaries until the test.Thanks

I'm sorry to hear about your bleed during tww. Unfortunately when I had my 3 day transfer a few months ago I spotted at 8dp3dt with full bleed the following day. My clinic advised me to continue with my pessaries until test day (I had about a week of my tww remaining before otd). But I just stopped when I saw full flow for 2 days plus several bfn.

Please continue with your pessaries as my clinic did say some women have bled in early pregnancy (red blood).

Yes it was awful especially as I have never bled so early previously. Initially I got excited as I thought the day before it was implantation bleeding...it spotty and stringy. By the following day I had a heavy bleed and it was red. Keep going and keep us posted x

have you contacted your clinic? Could they check your progesterone level? You might need extra suppositories. Good luck

Hi, I did ask if I could do anything this morning but they just said it may not have worked but some women do bleed. That we won't know until the pregnancy test. It's just so unsettling and to me it's just like a period.

I’m sorry to hear that your clinic is not being helpful. That happened to me with my very first transfer and I was bleeding heavily about 2-3 days before OTD. It’s really upsetting. If you don’t think you’re getting enough progesterone- are the clinic happy for you to increase your dose?

Sorry to hear that. I had this experience during my first fresh embryo transfer and it was traumatising. I went to A and E in the middle of the night when I had red blood like period to rule out if I was pregnant, just in case it wasn't menses. The lab test confirmed I wasn't pregnant. It's horrible and I wouldn't want anyone to experience this.No matter your result, I wish you all the best. This IVF journey is not easy and emotionally draining, but all of us here will support you and comfort you.

Thank you for your kind words. Its definitely a negative pregnancy result this morning. I just knew day by day it was a period. And each day was worse as it was just more and more obvious it wasnt implantation bleeding. But it's my first go at this. At least if I go again it won't be as traumatic. Glad I'm not alone. Thanks. It sounds like you had a really bad time with it too. Wishing you the best.

Yes I took urgent leave because it was too traumatic, going to A and E in the middle of the night. Didn't know it was so tough till I did it. My FET were better than fresh embryo transfer. Less discomfort. But it will be good to do some preparation before your next FET. Find friends and family members who can support you through it.
