I can feel period symptoms coming on

Woke up today after a not particularly good sleep with some classic period symptoms.

I had my transfer on Friday 27th April. So if I count from this day, ( is that correct?) I am on day 10 and I’ve been Told to test on Thursday (day 14)

This morning I had a headache.

I know this is a common ivf side effect but it’s the first time I’ve had a headache in the whole cycle and I commonly get a headache before my period. I’ve also got different cramps to the ivf ones I’ve been experiencing which have been very short bursts

These feel more like the ones I’d typically have pre period. I also feel very flat but this could be just fear due to these symptoms. I also feel exhausted this morning( usually this cones after a bit of activity)

Typically my period comes pretty quick after these symptoms so I guess I won’t have to wait long ... but I’m panicking and just thought I’d share in case anyone has been successful and experienced something similar to their normal period symptoms too.

I haven’t had ivf so cant comment on that front. But I did manage to conceive after I had a laparoscopy which endo was found and treated; I had no pregnancy symptoms and felt like my period was coming and even when I did a test I was saying to my hubby I couldn’t be because I felt no different! How wrong was I !!!😆 I did miscarry but after 6 years of trying we have seen this as huge progress as we didn’t think we’d ever conceive! 🙈 if you are pregnant it is such early days and you may feel no different; early pregnancy symptoms vs pms are identical are impossible to tell apart. Another cruel twist on this journey 🙄

Good luck for OTD really hope it’s a BFP xoxo

Day one is the day after transfer, so you're 9dp I'm afraid.

I also felt like my period was coming, still do and did have some headaches and I'm not normally a headachey type person, a lot of people do feel like they're period is on its way. The progesterone can cause a lot of symptoms too!

I'm 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow (hopefully it stays that way) So try not to worry, although hard not to, I worry every day and Google all the time lol xx

Hi Loudles pregnancy symptoms can be v similar to period so hang in there til test day unless your like me and reaching for the FRER. Good luck xxx

I was convinced on both my positive rounds that my period was coming to the point where I was crying on both! Cramps, hot and flustered etc But I got a bfp and have one little girl and am currently 13 weeks pregnant with my second.

Wish you luck for OTD xx

Around now you could be having implantation which can be uncomfortable. Also your body is moving everything around in readiness for growing a baby. Fingers crossed this is what you are experiencing. Good luck for test day xxx
