Feeling deflated

Hello everyone,

I’m currently 10dp5dt and I’m convinced I’m out. I had cramping on transfer day and then on days 1&2 ,then nothing until day 7 right through to today, day 10. I also have sore boobs. I have all the symptoms I had last time/ or similar and it was negative.

It feels like AF is on her way and I’m feeling so low.

To top it off I have bad constipation (apologies for tmi).

In need of some help/advice please 😢 x

Hi Anoncasper, try not to give up yet. The hormones you take during IVF can cause those kinds of symptoms and also many women don't get any symptoms at all. There is no way truly that you could know without doing a test. Try your best to ignore that little voice that tells you it's over. Xc

Thank you LittleBlueOwl. The 2WW is such a testing time.

Between our own hormones and the medicated ones, we can go crazy! I really hope I get the positive I’ve been waiting for 🤞🤞 x

How is things with you? Have you been on this journey long? X

Don't worry you're not alone! I completely understand you. I'm on my second transfer, currently 4dp5dt. One minute I've got cramps and I'm panicking because what if that's bad, the next minute I don't feel any different than normal and I'm panicking because I should have a sign. I'm so afraid that the second the embryo got put back it it went HELL NO THIS IS THE WORST UTERUS IVE EVER SEEN. :( Ive already lost the plot 4 days in. I was so restless last night I gave my dog a hair cut and blow dry. I did a terrible job but he's been a great sport! I understand your desperate hopes for it to work. I really hope you get a BFP soon! Xxx

Aww so you know how horrible the 2WW is. Was yours a fresh transfer or a FET? I’m sure your little emby is settling in quite nicely into your uterus ❤️

Oh your poor dog lol this made me laugh 😂 lol. What kind of dog do you have? I’d love a little dog but I wouldn’t be home enough due to work and nor is my other half.

Fingers crossed for the both of us 🤞🤞 xx

It's fresh, I've never actually had a frozen transfer. My first round of IVF I only manage to make one wonky looking blob that didn't quite make it to blastocyst on day 5 but they transferred it anyway. This round I made one good one and three okayish ones, so another fresh but if it fails I'll have three frosties to transfer. The first round was soul destroying I couldn't believe how badly it went so it was a nice surprise to get four blastocysts this time around.

He's a very big king shepherd so super hairy and slobbery but very gentle. Makes our house look like a snow globe most of the time but he looks after me. I'm lucky I work from home so I'm with him 99% of the time. Plus he's quite old now so he puts up with me more!

Sending you embryo growing thoughts ❤️❤️

That’s great news that you have more frosties waiting for you! Just in case.

I thought, in my first round, that I just needed the embryo and my body would do the rest. Boy was I wrong! Really didn’t manage my own expectations very well so I know how you feel with the first transfer.

Aww your dog sounds lovely! He will help take your mind off things hopefully. Sending all the luck in the world ❤️❤️ xx

hi, I’m 4dp5dt with a fresh cycle and know exactly where you are coming from.

This is my second fresh transfer and, like last time, I had cramping and twinges on days 1 and 2 and then nothing,

I’m not sleeping, lucky if I get 5 hours a night and scrutinise every little possible thing that could be a positive sign, am I peeing more, do my boobs look bigger, is that a twinge or wind…ahhhhhhhhhhhh.

The little positive elk that says “ it’s all good, it’s just bedding in” is drowned out by the negative one saying it’s all over. Wish I could punch him on the noise and shut him up but it’s not that easy, or we all would be doing it

This whole journey is an enormous roller coaster and the 2WW is the big fanalie.

I’m sending you lots of good vibes, baby dust and lashings of luck that you will have good news.

Punch the bad elk and try and stay positive.

X❤️🤞X

Thank you Winniebear! I hope the non sleeping passes soon for you! I don’t know how you can function. I need my sleep lol.

I told myself that I wouldn’t scrutinise every symptom but it’s so hard when doing IVF. You zone in to everything your body is doing.

I have both those elks too 😂😂 The negative one seems a bit louder at the moment lol.

Thank you so much for your lovely wishes! I hope you get your little rainbow too and your 2WW doesn’t feel too long ❤️ xx

I'm 9dp5dt on fet on modified natural cycle.I feel nothing, like really nothing, worse as we followed ERA test recommendation we did the transfer 20 hours earlier than a normal transfer, the voice is telling me I just wasted a good looking blastocyst, the beta is for next Wednesday I don't want to test early and break my heart twice.

Anoncasper profile image
Anoncasper in reply toTitawine

Hello Titawine, not everyone has symptoms so I wouldn’t let that worry you. I’m sure your little emby is in your uterus getting very comfy and settling in nicely 🥰 x

Nevergu in reply toTitawine

Interesting insight on ERA. I feel like I also wasted a pgt tested embryo by transferring a whole day earlier. Did it say they reccomended to retest? I'm also now in 2ww after modified natural transfer( decided against medicated) and feel like it's not worked.

Titawine profile image
Titawine in reply toNevergu

OMG we are in the same position!!The thing is I saw a lot of posts telling that being post receptive is so rare and the recommendation is to retest, my doctor seems to really trust the results and he did not ask to do another test, plus my EMMA ALICE test comes back me having a chronic endometritis, (wish some studies tell that it can alter the window of implantation) , I took two rounds of antibiotics and again , no retest just an hysteroscopy to see if all seems good.

I'm 10dp5dt, my beta is in two days and I really can take another failure as I feel I will be out of options 😭😭

Nevergu profile image
Nevergu in reply toTitawine

My EMMA and ALICE came back normal. I retested after my first failure after ERA and it came back post receptive after 4 days. So I know the first reccomendation was wrong. The second ERA suggested i transfer in between days 4 and 5 but we didn't follow second ERA and went for modified natural. I'm 7 days post transfer , feel no symptoms so don't think it's worked 🥺

Titawine profile image
Titawine in reply toNevergu

I'm a bit confused, the two ERA test were both post receptive but with different hours? And finally you did a transfer following a normal timin(transfer after 5 days of ovulation following a trigger shot) is that the case ?I hope this time woks for both of us. Having reccurent implantation failure is the worst nightmare ever 😫

Nevergu profile image
Nevergu in reply toTitawine

Sorry, second ERA came back pre-receptive after 4 days, first was post receptive. Yes, we ignored ERA and decided to go with natural modified with trigger shot and transfer after 5 days of progesterone. I tested today at 7dpt snd it was negative so I'm not holding my breath. Implantation failure is the worse nightmare. Wa your ERA done on modified natural or medicated protocol? I'm wondering if I need to repeat it on natural protocol, mine were both done on medicated protocol

Titawine profile image
Titawine in reply toNevergu

I'm so sorry this sucks. The ERA test was done on a completely natural cycle, and the fet was on natural modified cycle, I feel like on natural cycle there is a lot of unknown things, I had to trust my doctor but now I'm not sure what to think

Beta is for tomorrow, I had a red spotting this morning after an hour of inserting a progesterone pessaries so ... i guess I'm out, I cried all the day and I'm so tired of all this situation...

hi Anoncasper , just remember to be kind to yourself and take one day at a time, hopefully you’ll have a nice surprise very soon 🤞🏼🤞🏼. Sending you loads of hope and good luck xx

I’m only 4dp5dt and feeling pretty normal as well , I read somewhere else a post saying it really doesn’t matter, each body is different hence there’s no point in driving ourselves crazy based on what symptoms we got as everything could mean nothing …

Not sure on what cocktail are you on, but I certainly blame the cyclogest for the constipation haha , just remember to drink plenty of water and fresh vegetables/fruit, flaxseed/oatmeal is good for fiber too !

Best of luck , Keep strong xx

Anoncasper in reply toHopewhite

Hello Hopewhite, thank you for your reply.

I really hope you are correct and I get my BFP on Wednesday.

Is this your first transfer? Have you been keeping well? This is my third so hoping my little emby sticks.

I’m on cyclogest and Progynova and have been drinking lots of water and eating lots of fruit. As if the process is not bad already, constipation has to jump on the band wagon lol.

I hope you get your huge positive result on your OTD. I’ll have everything crossed for you ❤️❤️ xx

Hopewhite profile image
Hopewhite in reply toAnoncasper

let’s keep the positive thoughts 🤞🏼🤞🏼, you’re so close to testing now ! Hopefully this little emby is already growing into a healthy baby 🤞🏼

This is my first cycle and first everything , I’m doing ok so far, thank you !, other than questioning if everything that I do it’s Ok. The doctor said to keep going as normal, so I’m trying hard to do so and get distracted from it.

Ahh it’s definitely the progesterone ! But hopefully it also means that it’s doing it’s job inside you xx

Thank you for the good wishes , I hope you also get a BFP on Wednesday! Best of luck ! Xx

Anoncasper profile image
Anoncasper in reply toHopewhite

Thank you Hopewhite. OTD tomorrow! I’m anxious and nervous 😬

I found on my first 2WW I googled every symptom. Believe me it did not help. Distraction is the best recommendation lol. The progesterone has a lot to answer for lol.

I hope you are doing well xx

I really hope you get good news tomorrow!! Sending you loads of good luck and good vibes your way 🤞🏼🤞🏼, try to get a good night rest ! Although, I think I’d be getting up like at 5 am on my OTD! 😂

Anoncasper in reply toHopewhite

Thank you so much! ❤️❤️

I’m really fortunate that I can fall asleep very easily and the fact that I’m knackered too so I think I should be good for that lol.

I’ll let you know how I get on tomorrow. I hope you are coping ok with your first 2WW x

we are similar timeframes in the 2ww, I’m 9 days past transfer. I had a little cramping on day 3 and nothing since except for today when my lower back was sore. All I can say is be POSITIVE and don’t rule anything out until that test! The medication mimics pregnancy, messing with our minds! I was told it’s the rise in progesterone which causes constipation, my Dr warned me to get more fibre, a brisk walk and lots of water which worked wonders for me!

Let’s hope we both get our positives! ❤️

Anoncasper in reply toTir-26

Aww you will know too well that these 2 weeks have dragged in lol

How have you been feeling?

I’m trying to stay positive and hoping for the best outcome 🤞

I went for a long walk today and without giving tmi my constipation has gone lol

I really hope we both get that positive result ❤️ x

Just hang in there. No symptoms doesn't mean it dint work. Dint have any symptoms in my first transfer and it worked. This transfer same thing . This time around a day to my period due date I started having that feeling that my period is coming, but it dint .

Today is my OTD, had my transfer on the 18th and have been testing since the 6dp5dt and it has been stark negative till date, my 11fp5dt. In my last transfer dint test till a day to OTD, luckily it worked.

This time, I started early to experiment and see when the positive will start showing since some see it as early as 4 dp5dt.

But it has helped me process the negative result before now and was still hoping for a miracle on the OTD As some also say that they tested 10 day after, it was negative but got a positive on the 11th day surpringly.

Though i know atleast from 9th one should start seeing a line if it implanted late.

So hang in there, what will be will be. I pray you get the positive result we all seek.

It's a closure for me today and take care of yourself and baby dust to you all. xx
