Round 5 with DE - tested positive today!!

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I hope this doesn’t upset anyone who has had a recent negative or struggling with the 2ww - I know the feeling of both all too well & sending lots of love! ❤️

I tested this morning after my 2ww was finally over & it was positive!! I’m shocked, anxious, HAPPY / terrified of something going wrong after all my bad luck. I can’t quite let myself get too excited, scan is in 2 weeks (another 2ww!) but trying to soak up this moment right now.

Saying that, I wanted to reach out and ask… I had a 5 day blastocyst embryo transfer on 25th April and on my clear blue test it says 1-2 weeks pregnant. Worried it should be 2-3 weeks? Should I be concerned?

hi Elizabeth,

Congratulations 🎉 I wouldn’t be concerned personally, the 2-3 only means that your hcg is above 153, and what really matters is how it’s progressing more than how high it is at this stage. Have you had your blood test done yet? As long as it doubles every 48 hours you’re good

congratulations 🤗💕 clearblue weeks indicator you add 2 weeks on to how the doctors would measure weeks and for 10-11 days past transfer that puts you about 3-4 weeks pregnant so that’s spot on so far. If you are going for a blood test that will be more accurate as the clear blues can be a bit crazy sometimes I’ve found! Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy xx

as said before for clear blue you have to add 2 weeks so sounds right, but also hpt are good at giving a positive vs negative but are less good at giving nuanced information. So if you want to know more about your hcg a blood test will always be more informative x

Thank you 😊 Yeah we are just about to start round 5 in a couple of weeks, going to give one last go of my own eggs whilst my friend goes through all the tests as potential donor if it doesn’t work. Hope this next TWW passes for you quickly! Keep us posted on how the scan goes xx

Amazing!! Hope you’re lucky number 5 too! Got everything crossed. Stay positive & strong throughout the 2ww - see my comment below - I had barely any symptoms so try not to symptom spot too much (impossible not to I know!) xx

If you read the leaflet that comes with the clear blue, or the side of the box it explains that you need to add 2 weeks to what it says eg if it says you are 1 - 2 weeks your actually 3 - 4, if it shows 3 - 4 weeks your actually 4 - 5 weeks and if shows 5+ then you are more than 5 weeks. Congratulations on your BFP 🎉

hey! I had v minimal symptoms- was convinced it hadn’t worked. Had way more in previous rounds which ended in a negative. My boobs were quite sore throughout the 2ww (but they were before the transfer from the meds) & the odd tummy twinge but nothing major. No implantation bleeding either, which I did get with my first positive which didn’t work out. Absolute minefield!!! Are you in your 2ww? Xxx

congratulations! Must be nerve wracking but hope you can enjoy it too. My OTD is Sunday and I'm so scared of a negative and being gutted again! Trying not to symptom spot. Had a few twinges over Friday and the weekend that I thought might be implantation but I know it might just be the progesterone too! So pleased you got a positive! Xx

Thank so much lovely. Ah sending you so much luck, you’ve got this! And try not to test early if you can. Feel like you’ll worry more either way - can’t win. Twinges is what I had every so often. I was weeing a fair bit (but was also drinking galloons of water too!!) GOOD LUCK 🤞🏽🤞🏽❤️
