So I had my fresh transfer this morning after only having my egg collection on Friday, so it was a shock to hear on Saturday morning that they wanted to transfer at 9am on Sunday morning! Anyway got there excited and the amazing thing is I saw our two fertilised eggs on the screen (And I got a picture) just as they were about to be injected inside. I was just so delighted that science can hopefully make this happen for us. We only had 5 eggs collected on Friday and the two that were fertilised were grade 1 and 2 so the Dr was very pleased at the quality of them at my ripe old age of 43yrs old! We were given a 5% chance of a positive outcome at the start so who knows what will happen as I have high NK immune cells too which I'm having treatment for. Whatever the outcome I think it's quite incredible what they can do as obviously it works sometimes! Onto the 2ww now and hope my excitement continues!!!

Hi DC13, Thank you. well my Dr said I can test in 14 days, so that takes me to Christmas Day!!! Not sure I want to test that day as I'm hosting Christmas Day with my family and my husbands family! So need to speak to clinic to see what day I can go in for a blood test maybe 27th depending on their hours. X

Hello! Congrats with your step! :) Just dropped in to share. Found it earlier. Below is a list of what happens after you transfer your 3 day embryo after IVF.

Day 1 - embryo continues to grow and develop, turning from a 6-8 cell embryo into a morula. 2 – the cells of the morula develop into a blastocyst. 3 - the blastocyst begins to hatch out of its shell. 4 - the blastocyst begins to attach itself to the uterus. 5 - the blastocyst begins implantation. 6 - implantation continues. 7 - implantation is complete, the placenta and fetus have begun to develop. 8 - hCG starts to enter the blood stream. 9 – 10 - fetal development continues. 11 - levels of hCG are now high enough in your blood to detect a pregnancy :)

Keep my fingers crossed for you!
