I did the ERA test (endometrial biopsy) in Feb. I have not been doing Acunpuncture, I did a few years ago but not necessarily for the FET.. it’s up to you. I did not feel improvements, but some people say that acupuncture does help.
Maybe transfer two embryos instead of only one. I have two blastocyst frozen still.
I am currently in the two weeks waiting….
No cramps, no symptoms, no headaches, no nothing .. so yeah. What can I say?! Let’s wait to see. This was my 4th blasto transfer and any others worked for positive test. Never had one positive test in my life.
The only thing I never did was this “new” test for immune response- NK Cells. Maybe I will consider it next time.
Hello, I'm in a similar position. I turned 44 yesterday! I've 2 blastocysts frozen (untested) and hoping to start another own egg round next weekend.
I think after that I'll transfer the 2 at once after having all the immuno, NK biopsies, ERA etc. It's over £2500 for a transfer at my clinic! I made the embryos at 43 so if they don't work I think it will probably be due to them being abnormal rather than any other issues, but I feel I need to cover all bases.
hiya I went for the era after 2 bfn and 2 chemical and it came up saying I needed an extra day of progesterone. I would honestly go for it. The doctor kept saying I didn’t need it coz I’d had implantation but I was doing the Alice and Emma tests anyway so they just added it in xxx
Hi! I haven't done an ERA test but my clinic did put me on a course of Canseflor before my last transfer, which, as far as I understand it, is one of the measures taken in response to a bad ERA test. I took oral probiotics too, as well as baby aspirin (the latter was a mixed success because I did get a large subchorionic haematoma, which is apparently quite common for women undergoing IVF in combination with baby aspirin). I also did reflexology in the run up to the transfer, which I found really relaxing and beneficial. As for the number of embryos, I'd follow the advice of your clinic. Ours recommended one at a time to maximise chances, because they were of good quality. 20 weeks pregnant now. Very best of luck!
On my upcoming round I have spoken to the doctor about giving me Prednisole (steroid) although I have not been tested for NK cells. This may be something that you want to explore and discuss with your consultant if you have not tried this already. Best of luck on your next transfer x
I did a 3-in-1 set of implantation tests (i.e. all three via one endometrial biopsy) - the ERA, a test for uterine NK levels, and a microbiome test. For me, I was keen to get going with our last transfers, but I'd had no luck at all, no positives even chemical pregnancies, after 3 separate transfers. At that point we had 2 frozen embryos (untested) and I just wanted to assure myself we'd done all we could to give them the best chance. As for putting back one or two... I was torn on this. I was always a bit wary, as I'd read a study saying if the embryos aren't the same quality it could be a bit of a risk. And I'd tried this once, with varying quality embies, and it was a BFN. However, it's by no means certain that that study was correct! Like so much in IVF, data is pretty limited. I also didn't pay for transfers, as they were included in my set fee at my clinic, so there was no financial advantage in putting 2 back together - that's definitely a consideration! Wishing you lots of luck, whatever you choose! xx
