I was all for putting 2 back everytime, I was 38 & 39. Our NHS clinic wasnt so keen and put a lot of pressure on us to opt for 1 due to the risks of mulitple pregnancies but did allow it due to age, be prepared for the lecture though. However when it came down to it we only had 2 on 1 cycle and 1 on another cycle. We have started treatment again and our clinic encourage 2 to be put back and that's what we've done so far and will do next time too. Everyone is different I guess. Good luck, hope those embryos are growing away nicely!xx
Thank you. I am leaning to having two put back. Good luck with your next cycle xx
I'm glad you got positive news from the clinic. I'm 41 & had IVF in Greece. I had transfer at 3 days of a 8 cell,a 7 cell & a 6 cell embryo. I'm pregnant with a single baby. Personally if you could cope with twins I would seriously consider having 2 transferred. I would have loved twins as it would have completed my family in one go but if I had triplets I would have struggled in reality. If I hadn't transferred 3 I may not have been pregnant now but who knows? Your a good few years younger than me though so in your position maybe I would feel differently. I hope your cycle is successful either way 🙂 xx
I don’t actually and they both looked totally different although the said both were good. Thank goodness both were put back in though because we will never know which one stuck xx
Excellent news. I had two out in at day 3 on first cycle. A six and a 5 cell. It was the hospitals recommendation and we went with that. If none are good enough to freeze, I would go with two x
Hi great news your embies are doing well. Our plan, if we were lucky enough, would have been to put 2 back. As long as you are prepared and know the risks to you and babies should it be a multiple pregnancy. My clinc did say that with multiple births, hospitals are so much more advanced and survival rates are a lot better now. What are you amd oh learning towards? xx
OH has always wanted to put two back in. I’m leaning towards two now, I haven’t shared this with him yet as he is ever the optimist and doesn’t consider the ‘what ifs’ where as Ice read everything I can get my hand on about the risks of twin pregnancy. I’m just so desperate for this cycle to work. Xx
Good luck with whatever you decide. It is a big decision. Sounds like you've done the right thing in looking into it all. Maybe get OH to read some info on multiple pregnancies as well. At least then you will both be well informed and make the decision together xx
