Just had my planning for round two and my long protocol will start with 3 week down reg with a nasal spray? Never heard of this before! I was prepping for more needles. Does this make any difference? Anyone used it before?
hi Elsidee11! Yeah, I have. During my current cycle I used the Synarel nasal spray and had no issues. Everything went as they wanted. Also, no massive side effects.
thank you so much A_fortune. I see you also have endometriosis like me, do you mind me asking, did you find this cycle was more successful than others? (If you’ve done more than one that is) x
yes, I have stage 4 endometrioses and have had a laparoscopy. Just can’t tell you if this cycle was “more successful than others” as I’m doing my pregnancy test next week…. Hehehe. But there was no issues with stimulating folics or growth of any of my cysts. Hope that helps x
I did down reg with nasal spray for my medicated IUIs and also for FETs our clinic used it as a back up after the 30days prostrap injection. The past 2 years i’ve had to have double prostrap as there was a burselin shortage for the nasal spray. The nasal spray is annoying in terms of setting reminders (7am Sunday alarm was not fun!) but it’s good as it only lasts as long as your taking it so the effects leave your body sooner- I hate prostrap/injection down reg it leaves me feeling rubbish for months and messes up my cycles where as burselin effects stop pretty soon after stopping it. Good luck for your cycle 🤗💜 xx
I also used the nasal spray for the only long (lucky) protocol cycle I had. I set up different alarms during the day to remember when to spray it, and indeed sometimes I felt slightly dizzy, but that was it
