Down regulation scan

just a quick post with an update.

Had my down regulation scan which was all fine.

Now I’ve started the next lot of medications. The next scan booked in for next Friday to make sure the eggs are growing 🙂 fingers crossed week commencing 3rd Dec I shall be booked in for egg collection.

Major headaches at the moment, but keep thinking it’s all worth it 😊

Fingers crossed everything keeps progressing nicely!! I didn't down regulate before egg collection or transfer but I've seen quite a few people here and elsewhere complaining of headaches from it. What's the reasoning behind down regulating anyway? Is it just the clinic's preference to control everything better or is there a physical reason some of us end up doing it?

Down-regulation turns off the ovaries to control ovulation and egg maturation during treatment.

Im just doing as I’m told lol

Headaches are the worst I didn’t have any side effects the first two weeks.

Hi, me too same board. Severe headache and bleeded a bit for 2 days. Egg collection on 3rd December.

Hi, Headaches are the worst. Paracetamol won’t touch it! 😞

How exciting good look with egg collection. I will be booked in at some point that week.

How come you have been given a date so far in advance? I have to have a few more scans before they know what size my eggs are before they can book me in for egg collection xx

I have scan Monday and Friday and blood test on Monday

No I’m taking menopur.

I have my next scan on Friday next week and blood test. Then daily scans for monitor egg size.

Then I have to take the last injection 36 hours before egg collection but these dates are yet to be confirmed xx
