It’s been a while since I’ve posted here so thought I’d give you all an update.

it’s a long post so bare with me.

I finally started my ivf journey in January.

I was on ovaleap and Fyremadel and after 16 days of stims they cancelled my cycle because the meds hadn’t worked, I was obviously beside myself.

we went again for round 2 on Valentine’s Day with my egg collection on st David’s day and they collected 24 eggs.

17 fertilised but only 3 made it to the freezer.

I was devastated at the drop but once the shock has worn off I was happy that all 3 eggs were top graded embryos.

they then cancelled my fresh transfer as on an early scan they diagnosed me with PCOS and during my EC they found fluid in my stomach which was consistent with OHSS.

I’m glad to report that actually, I haven’t been unwell at all and the OHSS didn’t affect me thank god

Still though, it was nice to have a few weeks off from the cycle.

I’m now 6 days into Progynova tablets for my FET with a scan on Tuesday to make sure my lining is looking thick, if so, I will be triggering on Tuesday with my transfer date of the 25th of April.

365 days a year and my transfer lands on my birthday 🥹🥹🥹

I’m obviously worried that the Progynova isn’t doing its job and my transfer will be pushed, only because I want it to be on my birthday. The lining of my womb has not once been an issue, it’s been thin when needed and thick when needed so I’m not ridiculously worried but still, it’s in the back of my head.

has anyone been to a scan during fet and been told to carry on with Progynova as the lining wasn’t thick enough?

it wouldn’t bother me if it was any other month but I’m desperate to have it on my birthday, just think it’s a nice birthday present off my loved ones in heaven!

Hello smp25,

Wishing you luck with your transfer and I hope it goes ahead as planned on your birthday.

I’ve had two fets. The first was delayed a week as my lining wasn’t thick enough. For my second I had more drugs and it went ahead on the planned day.

There’s enough to worry about on this journey so my advice would be don’t put too much pressure on yourself about what day the transfer is lovely 😊 I’m sure you would rather it was on the day your body is ready than a birthday/anniversary etc 🤗 💜

If it ends up on your birthday a nice thing to do be doing that day, if not it means you can have a lovely birthday before transfer which will help you be extra relaxed for when transfer day comes around with lots of extra happy hormones going on 👌🏻💕
