I had a double FET last week and today is 7DP5DT. I’ve been getting some cramps like my period is due, intermittent most of the day. I’ve got a bad feeling it’s all over as this happened after a previous transfer where I bled before OTD.
I remember I had a progesterone serum blood test prior to my last FET (at the same clinic), but didn’t have any blood tests at all with this FET.
I’m on 3* Lutigest and 1* Lubion a day but just wondered if it was worth having my progesterone levels checked? I contacted my clinic the day after the transfer (when I finally remembered about having the blood test last time, feel like an idiot!!) to ask if I needed a blood test, and they told me no, and that I’d be fine with what I’m taking.
I know it’s normal to get cramps after a transfer and the progesterone can cause cramps too, but would appreciate any advice.
Thanks so much in advance. Xx

Are you on the same dose of progesterone as last time? If so, and they were hapoy with your level, that may be why they felt you didn’t need it checking. If it’s a different dose then I would definitely push to have it checked. Xx
Thanks for getting back so quickly. Yes, I’m on the same dose of progesterone as last time (but last blood test for it was done around March 22 during my first FET).
They’re not the most proactive clinic unfortunately and I really had to push for the extra Lubion to begin with.
I think I may just do a private blood test for peace of mind. Thanks so much, really appreciate your advice. Xx
I have done quite a few private blood tests over the last few years! Definitely worth it for peace of mind (doing progesterone tomorrow actually). I use Medichecks if you need a suggestion xx
All fingers crossed for your FET! I insisted that my clinic checks my progesterone with both FETs. With the first one, they did it only on the day of the transfer and it was on the low side, so they doubled my dose. With the second one, I asked them to test two days before transfer and on the day and it was again on the low side, so they increased the dose more. I think this is what made the difference the second time, definitely worth fighting for. Good luck!
