I was just wondering for those of you that have had a fet how many days before transfer did you start progesterone.
I have had 3, 5day frozen transfers done where I have tracked ovulation at home had a scan to check lining the next day then started progesterone two days later then then 3 days after that I have had transfer, which would mean only 3days of progesterone prior to transfer. I can't find anything online that supports 3days being enough it always says five but my clinic always do only 3

Hi yes I had just pesseries first time but bleed early so added lubion for next two tramsfers but bleed early again on the third transfer so I'm adding in another lubion for my next go. All 3 have been natural tracking at home for ovulation transfer but with added meds. I'm going for a fully medicated fet next time hoping that will make the difference. I have said to different consultants about having longer progesterone as that's what I have read etc but they think I'm wrong x
In a natural FET, in theory you don't need to be given any progesterone unless you know you have problems producing or responding to your own natural progesterone (produced by your ovary after ovulation). In medicated frozen cycles 5 days seems to be standard but that is because ovulation has usually been prevented, so you don't produce your own. They may worry giving you too much progesterone too early might affect the receptivity window but as always the best thing is to just ask them. xx
Thanks for the replys always good to get others points of views and experience as I thinks clinics just see you as just another person, rather than someone( more often than not) desperate for things to work and end up with a healthy baby! Thanks again x
Hi Wedding10 I had took progesterone for 5 full days and then on the sixth day when I had my transfer. I had a 6 day blastocyst transferred. Everything I've read says that 3 days of progesterone wouldn't be enough if you're having a 5 or 6 Day blast transferred.
