Bleeding at 5weeks

Good evening ladies... so my official test date was 31st march BFP.... Bloods back on 1st April hgc levels were 393 clinic was very happy , its all been good until today 😪 been for a wee and bright red blood, now I'm confused and so upset it started about a hour ago, we had 2 embryos put back any advice from you lovely ladies x

I’m sorry you’re having bleeding. I had two red fresh bleeds at under 6 weeks and a scan at 6 weeks as well as spotting which stopped before my 8 week scan.

I can’t pretend for some people this is not good news but for me and others it was just massively anxiety provoking but without cause.

EPU can scan you from 6 weeks so worth telling your clinic to get referred.

Hopefully your bleeding has stopped now and this is just a blip in an otherwise healthy pregnancy.

Thankyou hun our first cycle we had a bleed around this time had a scan at 6 weeks then again at 7 weeks and it was a non viable pregnancy had to stop all meds then go through the heartache of a miscarriage which resulted me ending up in theater... so I guess I'm just thinking oh here we go again 😪

I’m sorry. I have a history of miscarriages too and completely understand the anxiety.

All I can say is every pregnancy is so different. With the round of Ivf I miscarried I had quite a few pregnancy type symptoms, and no bleeding whatsoever.

I genuinely don’t think you will know anything until you are scanned.

Fingers crossed for you and hopefully someone at EPU can see you soon

Sorry you are feeling so anxious, i understand what you’re feeling

can you book an emergency scan at your clinic ?

I went to A and E as this happened to me then I was taken to the pregnancy unit where I had a scan

Just to reassure you, it may not be a miscarriage. I had bleeding and it turned out to be a hematoma and they said it’s quite normal for ivf pregnancies

did you have pain with the bleed or did it just come out with your wee? If there was no pain could be a haematoma I bled with my little girl and with this pregnancy both times haematoma, bright red blood but no pain. I know how worrying it is to see blood but try not to panic, has it stopped now? X

I’m so sorry your having to go through this.

I had a huge bleed with clots at 5 weeks 4 days, IVF wouldn’t see me until I was 6 half weeks but EPU at my local hospital did. They scanned me and everything was fine. I had another big bleed at 6 weeks 4 days. IVF saw me and upped my medication and put me on bed rest as they could see hematoma.

I stayed under EPU at hospital until 8 weeks 4 days. Now im a week off my 12 week scan, still on high dose of IVF meds.

Keep the hope until your told otherwise ❤️

Hoping everything will go well for you. I had two embryos transferred and bled from around 5 to 13 weeks. All was fine. I have a 20month daughter now However I did have two heart beats on the scan, one was a lot slower and didn't make it. 'vanishing twins' and bleeding in early pregnancy is relatively common so think the best for now, everything may well be fine. Hard I know xx

So sorry what’s you are going through. Are you having period pain or cramps with the bleeding? I had huge blood clots on 6wk2 days. Went for a scan, everything was fine. If no cramps, it might be some tissues.

Hello u lovely ladies, happy easter to you All, the bleeding stopped completely after about 2 hours and turned brown but nothing on pad only when wiping.. by yesterday 9am it was Completely clear nothing there, had no pains at all, my husband put me on immediate rest, and my daughter who's nearly 18 knows we are pregnant she come home from her boyfriends to help yesterday with a little guidance she cooked a lovely roast for 10 people bless her.. today I feel absolutely fine just feel sick and exhausted 😩 xx
