I did an hysteroscopy last Saturday under anesthesia. The doctor found one polyp and he removed it.
It's been 7 days now but I'm still bleedibg, I mean not heavily but every time I wip it came back red. I'm worried, is it normal ? Last year I did an hysteroscopy and he removed several polyp and a chocolate cyst and back then I didn't bleed that much 🥲

Hi Titawine, 2 months ago I went for a Hysteroscopy and a laparoscopy. I didn't have anything removed but the first three days I have the blue dye leaking out of me as well as a clear pinkish fluid (serous fluids). My period then came early - a week earlier than it should! My stomach was so black and blue and swollen that I didn't realise how many incisions I had until the nurse was changing my dressings and telling me I'd still need them a week later! I think our bodies heal up at different rates depending on what they went through but if you are concerned call your doc 😊. I didn't expect my discharge to keep getting more heavy until I had my period but I was told it was pretty normal for my body to "purge" and heal up after an invasive procedure.
Best of luck Hun, I hope that you're more comfortable and relaxed soon! Xx
I bled after hysteroscopy for just over a week. I had a polyp removed that had quite a broad base and it seemed to cause more issues than previous surgery. if you’re worried about it just check in with your doctor. I didn’t have any pain so I wasn’t concerned about it being an infection but there’s no harm in asking
After hysteroscopy when the doctor removed few micropolyps I was spotting for 2 weeks. He told me if spotting is not stopping after 14 days he will prescribe me antibiotics as there might be a risk for infections. I had hysteroscopy done while I was on birth control pills (for a better visibility) so my clinic advised me to take 2 pills instead of one and my spotting stopped at some point and I also took antibiotics as part of my protocol not necessarily because of the spotting caused by hysteroscopy. I would suggest if your spotting is not stopping call your doctor, it is not normal to have it for so many days. Infections are dangerous so is good to be cautious about that. Take care 💕🤗
Hello dear, Bleeding can occur immediately following polypectomy or can be delayed from several hours to weeks after the procedure. The severity of bleeding ranges from arterial bleeding to minor oozing and can be controlled endoscopically in most patients. 5 weeks ago I had a cervical polyp removed. This polyp was found during a routine smear. Results from the smear were normal but polyp was abnormal with cells at CIN2. 5 weeks later I'm still bleeding after the procedure. I know it is not normal. We may have mild cramping for 2 to 3 hours after the polyp is removed. Spotting of blood from the vagina may occur for 2 to 3 days after the polyp is removed. Sometimes a coffee ground or yellowish discharge can happen for a few days from the liquid we use to stop the bleeding. I have a follow up appointment in 6 months. I'm worried the cells from the polyp would have spread to my cervix.
I would suggest that if your smear test was normal you will probably be okay.
I’ve had both CIN1, CIN2 and HPV luckily I didn’t need the letz treatment - but I did need several biopsies.
But if for any reason the cells have gone onto your cervix it isn’t something to be worried about you would be closely monitored and where necessary treated . I’m coming up to my second smear test within normal cycle again
Thank you so much for your replies.I called my doctor and he gave me a drug and ask me to take 3 pills a day until the bleeding stops. Still have some spotting and my AF is in 3 days , I will stop the treatment tomorrow I guess
