so the constitution with Prague was overall good & hopeful 💫
One of the main things I’m interested in is the doctor doesn’t want me to down regulate for the fets , I have done so for all of my past 3 failed attempts, his main reason was that my cycles are regular..
few questions ladies ! Anyone else changed to natural fet from down regulating & how long is the process / did you still do blood work & scans in the run up to transfer ?
TIA xx

hi there. I’ve just started my first modified natural cycle, all othered I have taken buseralin injections for down regulation.
This time I am just taking Norethisterone to Tim my period(waiting for that now) with a scan on Friday, then start progynova to prepare the womb lining with a scan on the 16th and FET planned for week beginning 20th March.
Much less harrowing on the body so far but obviously not sure yet on success vs fully medicated cycle.
It’s a bit scary but we have to trust the professionals and no injections has to be a bonus!!
I have had 2 previous medicated fets and found them quite consuming. I am now in the 2ww of a completely natural cycle, I have regular cycles so did my own tracking and when I got a solid smiley the transfer was booked for 6 days later. You just work with your own cycle so it all happens within 1 month - I stated tracking from day 10 and ovulated day 16, I only did one test a day in morning. I think most people have a scan but I opted for nothing as I’ve issues with scans and anxiety after a late loss. I kind of wanted to be able to pretend nothing was happening and get on with life in the lead up and it did help. It was a lot less stressful without any meds or appointments. However the day before transfer I had progesterone levels checked and they were 22 and clinic like it to be over 30 - so there was a bit of panic from me and I started to regret having no intervention - but clinic seemed to think it was fine to start high dose progesterone and still go ahead. So I’m not sure how things will turn out but if it fails I will probably blame the fact my progesterone was low the day before transfer.. so for me if there’s a next time I’ll opt for the scan and progesterone support for peace of mind xx
Thank you for sharing & I got everything crossed for you 🌈 .. all interesting to learn , iv not tracked my ovulation for years 🤪 I’m nearly 46 so hope the smiley face still show up ! But my cycles are regular & that’s what the doctor mentioned..
Keep us posted & hope all goes smoothly as it possibly can
I just did one a few weeks ago. They monitored me closely every two three days then gave me clear blue ovulation sticks and I started them on a Sunday eve. Was negative up until Monday eve. Then went in again for a scan checked lining, was 9 so perfect for them. Then I think went in one more time to see if egg had cracked that was already in there , did a progesterone blood test and then a few days later they put in embryo. Zero meds until after embryo transfer where they put me on one cyclacur (white pill) and progesterone. Hope that helps xxx I’d like to point out with medicated get my lining for completeley ruined and went from a 9 3 days before ET to a 4,5 and subsequently got cancelled 😞
