I am back at it again. This is my third egg retrieval and I had 18 eggs and 12 mature. Today I got the call that only 5 fertilised. We feel so defeated - our usual fertilisation rate is much higher. Any words of advice and courage?
We are afraid that the numbers will keep on dropping.
We had 5 euploid transfers till now. It is very emotionally daunting and its a constant struggle.

fingers crossed the 5 you have have good results. If they are pgs tested and normal what do the doctors or you think the reason is that doesn’t go ahead so far?
Have no idea. Im looking for answers as we always had good result. We had changed the clinic this time round. I will wait till day 5 and discuss with the consultant
Hi blueberry. I’ve just gone through my second egg collection. I had my first egg collection in October of 2019 and we got 6 embryos all of good grades. First fresh transfer is my little boy and we have had 4 transfers since which have been two Negatives and two chemicals . I’ve decided to go through another round in the hope that maybe this will give us our positive. I was a bit disappointed when the clinic called last week to say only 4 of the 10 eggs collected had fertilised of those 4 only 2 had made it to day 5 as this was way different to last cycle. I suppose every cycle is different and it only takes one. Both our blasts are Grade A and I had a single embryo transfer on Tuesday. Really hope this is the one but I’m feeling a bit negative about it because of what has happened with the last four transfers. It’s very frustrating and emotionally exhausting but you will get there ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words xxx best of luck to you on your 2 ww! Up till now I had two negatives and two chemicals so I really dont know if I should have any hope. It is very difficult to go on. Have you ever tested your embryos?
aww you most definitely need to keep going the fact you have had two chemicals is a step in the right direction I know it doesn’t feel like that believe me I’ve been there . I feel blessed to have my son but it doesn’t make it any easier when you are struggling to have a sibling. I also think I was lured into a false sense of security because it worked first time with my son (which I now realise is very uncommon) you will honestly get that strong embryo which will result in your BFP sometimes the journey is just so hard to get there and you do feel like giving up but you need to keep going 🙏🙏🤞🤞
I’ve read your profile and have seen you’ve transferred four euploids. Transferring 3 euploids gives a 90%+ success. Are you sure there isn’t anything lining related preventing the great embryos developing?
I wish you all the best with your round and sorry that you’ve had a fertilisation drop larger than previous. Would hate for you to be wasting great euploids when something else is going on.
my doctor is giving me cyclacur (the white pills only) for lining to stay good and progesterone. is upur lining always over 7mm before transfer? also dp ypu do progesterone test before? have ypu tried with both medicates cycle and natural?
Yes I always take cyclacur and progesterone and lining always above 9 mm. I do prog test before and I always increased the dose of the progesterone injections. I have tried medicated only but both clinics insist that there is no difference between results from both
last November I did medicated and the actual hormones ruined my lining 2 days before that’s why I’m asking. Now I did natural (completely natural) my lining was 9
Some women do better with medicated some with natural. Just food for thought
hi Blueberry on my last round I had 19 eggs collected, 14 mature, 7 fertilised but only 2 made to blasto - one is currently running round causing havoc. Good luck!
