We got 15 eggs out! Such a high number for us and maybe some are healthy to get blastocysts. I'm at risk of developing OHSS so I have to drink lots of fluids, eat protein and weight myself everyday. At this moment the pain is beareble but I'm still under the effect of the meds they gave me. The saddest part was that my clinic does egg retrievals with the patient awake sooooo it's one hell of a ride. I never wanted a drink more bad like in that moment. They were asking if I wanted more morphine, I was shut up and get those eggs out, let's not waste time😂😂 in 5 or 6 days we'll know if any eggs made it.🙏🏼🙏🏼🥰🥰

Wow! Such a good number! Another step closer! Good luck to you ✨
Thank you very much! 🥰🥰🥰
A great number of eggs! Fingers crossed for more good news in 5-6 days time 🤞🤞 xx
Thank you sooo much! We need lots of praying, fingers crossed and luck! Anything is good!🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍
Hiya, I also had an egg retrieval 2 days ago. I am at risk of OHSS. I am also constipating for 2 days now, so am trying not to eat anything. Just drink what else was you told? Did the clinic say they will freeze all your embryos as you are at risk of OHSS
That's the problem, you have to eat, that's why you got constipated. Eat fruits and fibers and lots of protein. My nurse told me I can drink even protein drinks but not the kind for fitness. And drink any kind of fluids not just water...fresh juice or tea. Try to drink a little coffee, when I'm constipated it helps me go to the toilet! Keep you stomach working, EAT!
Heya sorry to butt in, but when I had OHSS I was told to drink at least 4 litres of fluid a day - it’s really hard, but important - and make it a mix of water, full fat milk and high electrolyte drinks like coconut water. Also try and eat high protein yoghurt like Skyr, and other protein like eggs and chicken. It really does help, hope you feel better x
There's no problem! Every advice is welcomed!🥰🥰🥰
Thank you! Am drinking a lot. Can feel some action in my belly this morning, so am hoping it is a good sign. I wish you all the best with your journey, 15 eggs is so good!!! Now your embryos are growing and developing
😊 the hardest part is over now, just a waiting game
Yeah the waiting is killing me as much as the anxiety because last time we didn't got any blastocysts, I'm a little scared it will happen again. Hope your eggs develop as well. Wishing you all the best and praying it all goes well!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
I completely understand you. I had 12 eggs retrieved last time, 11 were mature and only 1 made to a blastocyst but it was not a great grade at all. Clinic was not very optimistic I could sense it. I had a transfer but it did not make me feel any different in terms of what women write on here...I had no symptoms. So the pregnancy test came back negative. This time I am hoping for a better results
Wow 15 good going! Let’s hope you get a good number of embryos from that. Tough going on the awake part! I was luckily sedated and out for the count! All the best of luck Ally!
Thank you so much! Every prayer helps!!!🥰😍😍😍
congrats 🥳🥳i also got 15 eggs and 7 made it to day 5 blast and 4 were pgs/pgd normal
Wow congratulations!🥰😍🥰😍 I hope to get at least 1 or 2. The anxiety is killing me. Hate the waiting.
That’s a great number, fingers crossed for lovely blastocysts 🤞💪 x
Thank you soo much dear!🥰🥰🥰
My wife also had her first egg collection yesterday! But luckily she was sedated 😅 she is also at risk of OHSS so, we are unable to do a fresh transfer and have to freeze all. Please could I ask when your clinic have said you can do your first transfer after egg collection? We have been told it is longer than we expected and can do it from not her next period but the one after. Difficult to get clear information from our clinic and we are just programmed to do what they tell us!!
Hi!!! My clinic said I can have a transfer after 6 weeks. I have to wait for my 2nd period to show up after treatment.
Thanks Ally that is helpful and great to know we aren't alone! Good luck and hope we all produce some good embryos!
There’s always merit in waiting for a natural cycle before trying it gives you the best chance. Even if it takes an extra month. And fyi there’s a tiny increased chance of pregnancy with a FET so there’s basically no difference in chance of success with a fresh or frozen transfer
I know FET increases chances a bit! Hope the waiting will be worth it!!!!
You just have to remember also… the embryos don’t get any older… so when I had my embryos transferred this year they were only just 39 (vs my mid 40) and the age of the embryo is what counts not the age of the womb
Thank you for your message which is appreciated. Yes we both know realistically there isn't much difference and we should know better as we are both scientists 🙈 it is just being on this journey and sometimes feels like it is one set back after another. It is just a bit of a blow psychologically as it is all overwhelming at times! Gonna take the opportunity and hopefully get away for a break whilst waiting for transfer date ☺️
That’s what we did (holiday) it’s a good idea
We had a holiday before the start of our round, we came home with our batteries charged and ready for another battle!!
