just wondering if anyone has used the donor egg clinic in Madrid who are used by one of the large clinics in the UK which I am under.
I just had my follow up call with the consultant following two rounds of unfertilised eggs and she had suggested we look at the donor egg route and explained they work with the donor egg clinic in Madrid.
I’m currently deciding if that’s the route I now want us to go down and just wondered if anyone can offer any insight in to the clinic or the donor egg situation?
many thanks all x

We done 2 rounds using my own eggs and by day 5 we had nothing to transfer, Dr said best to move on as I had little to no chance with my own eggs. We opted for donor egg, the clinic has a link with a clinic in Spain but this link is placed on hold as they are too busy with her own patients so we arrange directly with them, it’s hard work as you have to source drugs, scans, bloods on your own. The Clinic that we attend in Spain is excellent, I trust them wholeheartedly. You’ll get lots of replies to your post with experiences of the clinic you’re looking at.
One things I’d deff recommend doing is….
We done implications counselling via NHS, we learnt lots about donor egg and its implications before we decided on this route. I remember when it was suggested…I was really insulted as I thought we didn’t need it but you do, it’s really helpful as you will face many decisions such as anonymous donation etc
We haven’t had much luck with our journey, I’ll not go in to the detail but just be mindful of this too. I’m very happy with our decision of egg donation and really pray we get to have a family, it’s a very special journey. All the very best to you and hope this reply is helpful x
