Hi Ladies

After long and painful journey of trying everything, I am looking into DE option. The problem is I am oriental background and hard to find my ethnic DE.

I had a consultation with Manchester Fertility. Anybody have any experience with them?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Joejoe

I am south east asian background and now on 2ww after a frozen embryo transfer using a DE and DS 4 days a go (I’m 36 with low AMH and DH is 44 with azoospermia).

I don’t have any experience with Manchester clinic but I know how hard it is to find a donnor with our background.

We are with a lovely clinic in Greece. The options they gave us were to have a DS similar to my background and physical characteristics and a caucasian DE that matches hubby characteristics or a greek DE with my characteristics (dark hair, dark eyes, same facial shape, olive skin with my hight and weight) and a caucasian DS with hubby characteristics. We opted for a Greek DE as it was difficult for us to picture an asian male that looks like me and a caucasian female that looks like hubby 😄

Although it was hard for me to accept that our children will not have any asian background, I know in my heart that we both will love our children no matter what because we both want the same thing and that is to have a family.

Perhaps this is something that you could consider?

Sending you best wishes for your journey xxx

Hi Harriet

Thank you. I hope you are doing well.

I am still struggling to accept the fact but my age means only DE option left. Took granted the youth, everything in the past.

I am looking into to go Thailand DE fertlity clinic but saw negative feedbacks from some posts.

I really hope some little tiny DE waiting for me somewhere to bring into this world.

I think there are US egg banks with greater options for DE, but I'm not sure about the legalities of having an egg transported abroad, or if you would have t go there for treatment. X

I think there are long waiting lists for donor eggs in the U.K. I was in touch with a woman from an egg bank ( as I am indian) and they don’t work with clinic in the U.K. because of the laws. They only work at the moment with a few clinics in Europe as they work closely with the labs and make sure they are up to standard in the receiving of frozen eggs and handling of them. I can give you details if you wish. Let me know.

Hi JoeJoe. We are just about to have our second round of DE treatment at MF so if you have any questions about the process or clinic please feel free to message me. We were found a donor very quickly both times although we are both White British background.

Good luck xx
