Fluctuating AMH Levels and then huge decline in one year.

Hi, I am just interested in whether anyone has been in a similar position. I am 34. I had my AMH and AFC tested 3 months before I turned 34. My AFC was good at 19 but my AMH was low for my age at 8.9.

Two weeks later, I got my AMH retested and it was 6.2. I thought AMH wasn’t meant to change that much in a short spaces of time. I asked my clinic but they were unable to explain the difference in 2 weeks and glazed over my question. Since then I have done two cycles (egg freezing). In my first cycle my AFC was 30. I got 15 eggs collected but only 6 were mature and I believe I was triggered too early. My second round (after changing clinics) I had an AFC of 14 and got 8 mature eggs. I then had my AMH retested this week, a year later, and it was 2.4 which is a huge drop! Anyone else experienced this? My AMH levels also don’t make sense in relation to my AFC and day 3 Estradiol and FSH level.

I’ve also wondered about this … my first AMH was 1.6 pmol but after a few weeks it was over 6 pmol. Still low but significantly higher. I was 34 at the time. We did 2 rounds of egg collections and first cycle got 12 eggs 9 of which mature 8 fertilised and second cycle got 8 eggs, all mature, 4 fertilised.
