I am 38, single and am looking into IVF with donor sperm.

I have so many questions about what life will be like, and am fraught with worries too, such as family presence and male role models.

I conceived via donor sperm and by choice as a single Mum at 37. I didn't go the IVF route. I did it via artificial insemination at home with sperm bought from a cryo bank in Denmark shipped to the UK. I took supplements 3 months prior as my fertility tests were all showing I wouldn't conceive easily if at all. I now have a 5 year old little boy. He doesn't have any male role models in his life but neither did I as my parents divorced when I was 2. He couldn't be more loved or more wanted and he was worth all the worries and fears x
