Please advice - Cyclogest Leakage - is there any way to reduce it?

Hi Everyone! I’m starting to get very concerned with the leakage after I insert my cyclogest vaginally. I usually lay down for 25-30 mins after inserting it but I still experience a lot of leakage. Does anyone else experience this? Is this normal or should I be doing something differently? Thanks

It is normal to have a discharge - the medication part is absorbed quickly and the base is left behind-and this results in the discharge Try not to worry and take pessaries as directed - rest for the time instructed and wear a pad to collect the discharge

Good luck for the future

You could also ask your clinic if you can take them rectally. SO much easier, no need to lie down etc xx

Hi lovely, it’s definitely the pessaries. I had the same when I was using them. Honestly it is a million times better rectally. No mess and that was my successful round xx

Hey. I used to have to do a pessary in the morning and a pessary in the evening. The one in the morning I would do rectally as there is no mess at all and then would do the one in the evening I would do at the front as I was laying down for the night x x

thanks for sharing ! This sounds like a great idea and I’ll also check with the clinic . Appreciate

I was worried about the same thing on my first failed cycle because it could lead to low progesterone. So I put them in rectally in the next round and it worked fine. No discharge and no need to rest. Easier to manage

I used mine vaginally as instructed by our clinic. I did have leakage as Janet said - because the vax part the medication is in, comes out eventually. But the medication will be absorbed. We had a successful transfer with vaginal progesterone pessaries.

I wish you all the best and got everything crossed for you 🧡

Thank you so much! I’m just so paranoid this round trying to make sure I do everything right. The clinic also maintained I stick to inserting vaginally and I’m getting injections as well every other day. Praying for my miracle this round and can’t wait to share the good news 🙏🏾❤️
