Hi, looking for advice. I’m currently mid treatment with my FET planned for Thursday but have developed Cystitis over the last 48 hours. Does anyone know of any relief sachets suitable to use during pregnancy. The clinic have advised I can use treatment as long as it says it can be used in pregnancy but I can’t find any.

cystitis during treatment
I get cystitis and most reliefs aren’t suitable for use in pregnancy. I’d go back and speak to my fertility clinic or gp again and explain that most if not all over the counter cystitis relief states not suitable in pregnancy. They could prescribe antibiotics which is what has worked for me in the past but if fet Thursday they’d need to prescribe pretty quickly
I get chronic cystitis and used ‘d-mannose’ it’s herbal, really effective and safe when TTC and pregnant. Our doctor recommended it to me during treatment, it’s really good. Can get online or in Holland and Barrett. I use the cytoplan one xx
Definitely D Mannose. I use the tablets. I'd start on high dose (it is just sugar!) every 3/4 hours and then lower it down. Good luck!
Thanks all, I’ve managed to get a 3 day course of antibiotics so hopefully will be all clear before Thursday. I’ll definitely get some D Mannose though to keep in as I suffer from it quite regularly.
I just wanted to say those sodium citrate sachets are a waste of money as there is no clinical evidence they ease symptoms or treat cystitis if the infection has already started. This is also included on the NHS guidance. The pharmacy shouldn't sell or recommend them. I'm just starting my next ivf cycle and have cystitis too, so am on antibiotics so hopefully it will clear up before my cycle progresses. I hope yours clears up soon.
