Waiting tfor test result to start ... Go or wait another month?

i was all set to start when the clinic told me no wait you need rubella vaccine (different frustrating delaying drama). So I went and got MMR jab ( clinic rset me on wild goose chase as UK no longer gives rubella only vaccine) but you have to wait a month before trying to conceive.

i had a blood test on Thursday to check if now I have rubella antibodies. My day 14 is today (Saturday) ... I'm on the short protocol. My previous test results came a day or two after test but typical this one hasn't come yet.

the question.... Do I start taking the microgynon 30 today in the hope the rubella antibodies come back positive or do I wait another month? I'm 46 and low AMH (yes as might be epxected) and using our own cells

hi lovely- sorry I can’t answer your question but would defo ask your clinic if you should start. I’ve been in the same position re the MMR for my first collection I had the antibodies test and it was fine but for 2nd the rules have changed and I need proof of 2 MMRs as measles is now on the rise so I had to go get a 2nd one as my records on showed rubella and 1 MMR (80s child) and I too had to be a month before starting. I know it was so that the vaccine had kicked in but I also wonder whether they don’t like to start you with a live vaccine in your system too as well as waiting for the immunity? Ie even if your rubella is now showing immunity because you’ve had the vaccine in your system now you should wait a month? No idea but maybe one to check with the clinic just in case it does something to your cycle etc THE WAITING IS THE WORST!!! Sending hugs 🤗 xxx

thank you both. I went with my head and waited. Past result came in less than 48h and typical this result I was hanging waiting just came (yay I have rubella antibodies) but ive missed the window this month and will have to wait until next. Here's hoping the timings aren't affected by Christmas holidays
