Another month long wait!

So yesterday’s scan showed that my womb lining was very thick and there was a follicle larger than they would expect for d2 of my cycle. So they took some bloods to look at my hormone profile. Back today for another scan and results. Lining was thinner but oestradiol was borderline high. Some concern that this and bigger follicle may interfere with treatment. They left decision to us and we’ve decided to wait another month. It’s getting very frustrating now. We’re off to the fertility show in London first weekend of Nov to explore clinics for donor. This is looking more and more likely our best option as each month passes by. Hugs to all you ladies & gents and fingers crossed for all of you Xx

So frustrating but in the end maybe for the best. Is there any chance this rogue follicle may produce an egg which could be fertilised in situ, naturally? Xxx

Yes, it is always a possibility! Every month we try and we’ll keep trying. Some day it might happen! 🤞Good luck with your next transfer. I’ve just been reading your story. How is your experience of Spain?

in reply tojengi

I love Spain, know barcelona really well now, and with this being the 3rd donor egg cycle, I am very comfortable with the whole process. Looking forward to being away on a wee holiday with OH especially as he has been away for nearly 3 weeks.

Not so much looking forward to test day...but it is so going to work this time. Xxxx

I was once told that trying with my own eggs was a little like the drugs "revving up an old engine"! That is kind of how i felt with attempts with own eggs.

I have not really had a problem with coming to terms with the use of donor eggs at all. No matter what anyone says or however we achieve our miracle I don't care. I am just so looking forward to nurturing my wee miracle and watching them grow into a wee person and developing their own life.

It's just around the corner.

Hope you get your miracle soon xxx

Thanks. Our chances with my eggs are low too, 10% but feel we need to give it a go with ICSI. We’ve decided to give it two more attempts to get an egg, Nov & Dec. Then we’ll move onto Donor eggs. Best of luck to you Xx
