Hoping someone can advise. I'm booked for my first scan tomorrow at Lister hospital (day 2 of period) and did my rubella test with the nhs last week. But the results aren't back yet. I have everything else and I'm worrying the clinic won't let me start treatment.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Do you think they'll delay?
Thanks for reading!

Can i ask about testing? Im going to first IVf appointment this afternoon and was sent paperwork for gp to complete About rubella vaccinations. I didn't get mmr as a baby but i did get rubella vaccination as teenager. I have also had measles mumps and german measles so gp says i should have natural immunity anyway but theu are arranging for me to get mmr. Worried this is going to delay me as i need to wait until next month for 2nd dose then you are not allowed treatment for a month after that x
Just back from appointment nurse didnt seem to know much about it. She doesnt know why it was never questioned before when i had 6 rounds of iui and she couldn't see anything in my notes to say i had been tested previously. My timings arent affected anyway as my next appointment is not until Jan when i will have had 2nd dose of mmr. I just need a letter filled in from gp confirming i had been immunized rather than a test. Can you ask if clinic will accept gp letter for you so you dont need to wait on test results? Good luck x
Hi, my results aren't ready so I will have to do it today with my private clinic. Otherwise they do accept tests done through the gp as long as it's within 2 years etc x
Hey! I had mine done as a teenager but my clinic wanted proof that it was still valid - which I managed to get and turned out they never asked for it anyway! My treatment went ahead. Good luck with your treatment ☺️ X
I had the German measles jab when I was at school many years ago when only the girls had the jab before MMR was rolled out.
I had this too but I have still been asked to get MMR however i am not sure anyone knows what they are doing ir why it seems like a box ticking exercise
Wow. Nobody even mentioned rubella to us. HIV, Zika, HepA-Z (or however many letrers it is). I assume that if you got the vaccination as a teenager or a baby you'll be fine...(totally non medical opinion)
Just re read my post and it reads as though I've never had a rubella jab! The test is to check I'm immune to rubella which I am but the clinic needs this confirmation before treatment starts . It's all good anyway as I did it at the clinic this afternoon.
If you're planning to do this with the nhs, rubella results take longer than full blood count and thyroid.
