Only 3 eggs fertilised

Just had a phone call from the embryologist telling me that of my 9 eggs collected only 3 were fertilised!! I’m gutted!😢 Has anyone else had a low number and managed to get to transfer day? I’m hoping at least 1 makes it!🤞🏻 x

Remember it only takes the one! I had 4 eggs collected on my first round and 3 fertilised... we ended up transferring 2 and then froze the other one.

Hi Luna, I only had 1 of my 9 fertilise!! Very annoying as we used donor sperm and my eggs are apparently very healthy and strong. We had a 3dt 4 days ago!! You are not out yet. Keep positive 😘😘 I’ll follow your story as well be sharing part of our 2ww! Xxx

Yea that’s def annoying for you guys using donor sperm!! It’s so frustrating and upsetting at the same time! Fingers crossed I get to share some of the 2ww with you xxx 😘

I’m sure you will! They transferred a 3 cell embryo for us when it should usually be 6-8. It is so annoying but then on the other hand a lot of women don’t even get to the stage where they have got eggs from egg collection, so it’s important to still feel grateful ❤️ Xxx

Oh Luna11 I am sorry to hear this and that you feel disappointed, but hopefully these are strong little embryos and they will continue to grow nicely! This happened to my friend and she now has a baby girl! keep positive xx

Sorry for your disappointment this morning.

I had ec in Feb, 11 eggs collected and 3 fertilised, all 3 had to be frozen due to fluid in my tubes but when I came to do my fet on the 6th Sept, all 3 survived.

Don't give up hope. xx

Hi Luna....I have decreased ovarian reserve.....after all that stabbing injections medicines I got only 3 in which only 2 fertilised

Now iam 🤗mashallah 6 weeks pregnant...so don't give up ....as everyone says...it jst takes one ...so don't loose hope....good luck .😇

On my first cycle I got 4 eggs, 3 fertilised and all made it to day 5.

Cycle 2 I got 9 eggs, 7 immature but both the two mature ones fertilised and made it to transfer.

Cycle 3 3 eggs, 2 fertilised, Borg made to transfer.

Just about to go for first scan for round 4 and praying we have more this time!!

I hope you get your miracle Hun. I had 6 eggs collected & 4 fertilized. I had a 3 day transfer & am nearly 29 weeks pregnant now. I remember being quite gutted about not having lots of eggs collected & nothing to freeze etc but I was still so very lucky. Wishing you the same luck. xx

We had 8 collected 5 fertilised, 3 make it to 5 day blast but only one good enough to use. They wouldn't even freeze the others. That 1 has been our BFP and i' m currently 12 plus 4 xx

Hi luna11. I was on this stressing about the same thing about 2 months ago. And I got loads of positive feed back from all the girls on here with their stories. I had 4 fertilized and out of that we got 1 good quality embryo to blastocyst. We had a 5 day transfer. Unfortunately it ended in a bfn put that was due to an implantation problem we think cos I have high antibodies. Getting ready to do another cycle end of November 😬 in the meantime I’ve just started on medication to try sort out my high antibodies due to an autoimmune I have. So please god that will get sorted and this time if we get another transfer... it fingers crossed might implant this time 😊 keep us updated with how you get on with getting a transfer. I’ve everything crossed for you that you will 💕

Hi Luna11, I know it is very cliche but it really does only take one! I had 10 eggs retrieved, 4 fertilised but on the day of transfer we found out only 1 was top grade (the others weren’t good enough to freeze). So we literally had the one inside me.. I felt so disappointed and anxious throughout the whole 2ww, but my OH kept saying ‘it only takes 1’.. well to my surprise we got a BFP and am now 19 weeks pregnant today!

We were exactly the same, 12 collected, only 3 fertilised. However I am now pregnant with the strongest wee grade 3 egg. It only takes one strong sticky lttle egg. I wish you the best of luck x

Aw that’s good news. I wasn’t sure whether going to day 5 was the right thing to do but suppose you have to go with what they thinks best. Good that you get a call on Monday as well will hopefully put your mind at rest. I’m sure they will have survived the weekend. Yes will get a call on Tuesday morning. Yes so nervous as well! My clinic does day 5 as well but they said day 3 If I only had 1. Is this your first ivf round?
