Slow developing day 5 embryos

Hi everyone. I had egg retrieval on Friday. Today should have been a transfer day but I have high fever so the only option is to freeze. Got a call from embryologist saying we have 3 that would have a potential to transfer but are not suitable to freeze yet. They will give it one more day and on day 6 will decide if any are suitable for freezing. I'm so mad at my immune system failing me now when we could have a potential transfer today. I'm not even sure what am I trying to ask here to be honest. Maybe just get some feedback from anyone who went through same or similar situations? This is ivf+icsi no.5 for us, we had 2 transfers before (negative outcome) and 2 failed cycles. This is the very first time we have 3 embys on day 5 even though they are slightly behind. Trying to hold on to some positivity here.

I had 2 slow developing embryos but by day 6 they were both suitable to freeze. Fingers crossed for you xx

Hi Zuzzzzy those embryologist calls are really stressful. We're doing IVF to test for a genetic condition and have never had anything ready to be biopsied and frozen on Day 5. We've had early blastocysts and morulas by Day 5 but that's it. We've always had some good ones make it to Day 6 though, but the wait between Day 5 and Day 6 has always been really stressful. I'm hoping some of your three make it to Day 6!

One of my DEs wasn't good enough to freeze on day 5 and became a 'top quality' embryo by day 6. Good luck xx
