Slow development at day 3

We had egg collection on Wednesday which resulted in 3 eggs collected all of which fertilised.

We had our day 3 update call which has left us feeling like it’s all over again. We have 2 X 5 cell grade 3 and 1 X 3 cell grade 3 with no fragmentation. Our clinic grade 1-4 with 1 the best and doesn’t offer 3 day transfers.

Has anyone had a similar experience which ended positively

Take each day as it comes and hope for the best. Did the clinic draw any conclusions already?

No fragmentation is always a good sign. Our embryos are developing in a normal way until day 3 after that they tend to slow down for this reason we ended up having 1 embryo each cycle. Last cycle we had a very nice surprise and we ended up having 4 blasts out of 6 fertilised. Don’t lose your hopes you might have a nice surprise as well. If you don’t have male factor infertility than you have a really good chance for your embryos to reach blastocyst stage.

Good luck 🤞🤗

That is a fab result for you. We are a same sex couple so it’s top quality donor sperm we use. The last cycle we had 1 fertilised egg which only made it to early stage blast, it sadly resulted in a miscarriage about 7 weeks xx

Oh that is even better, until day 3 eggs are leading after day 3 sperm is taking over. Keeping everything crossed for you, I know how frustrating it is 🤞🤗
