6dp5dt feeling nervous for test day!

Optimisticsurrogate profile image

Im acting as a surrogate for a couple, we had one failed FET back in May 2022, i was doubtful when they did the transfer as my lining was only 7.1mm and my progesterone wasnt checked everything just felt rushed and looking back i wish we had cancelled the cycle and adjusted our meds. This time round my lining was 9.7mm my progesterone levels were good and the embryo was better quality after thawing a grade 4AB. We are testing thursday morning all of together. Im so nervous we will have a repeat of last time but logically the numbers all look better. Ive not had any symptoms except my lower back aches more then usual, no cramps, no spotting so im dubious as to whether its worked or not...

Wow, what an amazing gift you are providing you lovely person 😃

It's understandable to be nervous as you get closer to test day but sounds like you did eveything you could to make that embryo as comfy as possible. Wishing you all the best for Thursday and if it helps back pain is usually a good sign 🤞 xx

I have all my fingers crossed for you, good luck! Xx

Hi ladies

We tested all together this morning and got a BFP my lovely friends were so happy and emotional it was the best feeling to be part of that. The line is pretty fsint but ive never tested this early before!I'm just praying it stays positive and they get to welcome their baby in June! Thanks for your support xxx

Excellent news! You must all be thrilled to bits. I think what you're doing for this couple is truly amazing.

I'm also in my two week wait with my test day nearing in a few days time. Like you've I've not really had many obvious symptoms. Did you have any more symptoms after 6 days past transfer?

Xx

Thanks so much we were so happy that it worked this time round, I've just got to try and think positively that it stays sticky now.

How exciting good luck to you hope you get your BFP! I have been unwell for a few days with nausea and looser bowels however my husband also felt unwell yesterday and my daughter has had loose bowels today so I'm not 100% putting it down to the ivf might have actually been a bug! Apart from that I had a lot of cramps yesterday on day 8 but none today. Let us know how you get on!

Hoping it stay sticky and wishing you all the best for what't to follow!

Thanks for the well wishes and the info on your symptoms. To be honest, I've hardly had any symptoms this time around. I really want to be hopeful, but I've been pregnant before and could feel some of the changes happening in my body. If we get a BFP this time then my body will have completely deceived me. We will see what happens, but I'm not feeling too hopeful right now.

It's very hardnot to over analyse everythingisn't it. I've read so many posts of women who had loads of symptoms and got BFN and vice versa. I can only say that with my previous pregnancies the symptoms I had varied and I was actually sicker with my singleton then I was with my twins so sometimes what we anticipate might not necessarily be correct. Try and distract yourself as much as possible and hopefully you will just be one of those really lucky people that have no symptoms 🙂

Thank you, that's what I'm hoping, that I just happen to be one of those people who doesn't get symptoms this time around. I've also seen a lot of women who've had no symptoms go on to get a BFP, so I'm trying to keep that in mind whilst also preparing for bad news.
